Family Beach Pictures

Every year on our beach trip, we set up a tripod and take family pictures.  While I love to have the ocean in the background, the dunes always end up producing the greatest shots, so we decided to set up there this year.  The sunlight was too harsh on the ocean during our session anyway, and since Jacob will barely open his eyes outside without sunglasses, shade is always necessary for him when it comes to picture-taking.

We got some pretty great shots this year, and I know I’m going to treasure these pictures of our babies.  They’ve grown by leaps and bounds this past year and there aren’t many traces of babyhood left on their sweet little faces.  Olivia will start losing her baby teeth any day now, too, so I especially wanted to capture her one more time before her entire smile changes.

They, of course, goofed off during part of the session, but those are the pictures that I always cherish the most.  Their expressions in a couple of these are just priceless… expressions we see nearly every day, but never tend to capture.

Here they are…

I’ll always love Olivia’s baby blues and Jacob’s smattering of freckles.  I hope they keep those precious features forever and ever.

Sometimes I have to pinch myself because I can hardly believe they’re all mine.  <3

Happy Monday.

  4. Such sweet pictures...you can really see their personalities shining through. I think back on my kids' elementary school years as the "sweet spot." Have a good week!

  6. Wow - that's impressive. If we were take all those photos, maybe two would be worth sharing. Or even keeping. We are NOT the photogenic family - ha! Great pictures!
