Five on Friday - This is My Grown-Up Christmas List for 2025

Twice a year, I put out a wish list of my own, and today I’m sharing a few items that are currently on my list!

O N E – Home

Bearaby Cotton Weighted Blanket (Color – Cloud White, Weight – 10 lbs., Size – 40” x 64”) – I’ve wanted a weighted blanket for years and years and years, but there are too many choices, so I never decided on one.  After seeing so many people rave about this Bearaby weighted blanket, I decided that this is the one for me.  It’s pricey, but it’s top-notch quality and it has tons of excellent reviews.

Safavieh Square Area Rug (Color – Ivory/Rose, Size – 8’ x 8’) – We purchased a larger version of this rug for our bedroom, and it is gorgeous!  We need a new rug for our living room, and I’d love to have the same rug in the square size.

T W O – Clothes

Support Live Music Tee (Color – Ivory, Size – Small) – I saw a top similar to this one in Nashville, but couldn’t justify paying the $80 price tag for a t-shirt, so I found a dupe on Etsy.  Y’all know how much I love live music… I would choose a concert over pretty much any other activity/event so I loveeee this top!

Support Live Music Sweatshirt (Color – Sand, Size – Small) – I want the sweatshirt version, too.  You can never have enough sweatshirts.  ;o)  I wear them nearly every day during the winter.

Birth Year Sweatshirt (Color – Red, Size – Small, Year – 1982) – I saw this birth year sweatshirt when I was browsing Etsy and I thought it was cute, too.  Again, you can never have too many sweatshirts.  ;o)

T H R E E – Accessories

TheraGun Mini (Color – Desert Rose) – I hold all my tension in my neck, shoulders, and upper back (especially my trapezius muscles), so I’m constantly having to ask Brian to rub my shoulders.  I would love to have one of these so I could work out tension and knots myself!  My upper cervical chiropractor has fixed the bones, and now I need the muscles to cooperate, and he said massage is the way to go!

F O U R – Books & Media

Called by Name (Hardcover) – This is the devotional that I want to do for 2026!

Awake by Jen Hatmaker (Hardcover) – I’ve heard excellent things about this book, so it’s on my list!

Dave Matthews and Tim Reynolds Live at Luther College Vinyl – This is one of my favorite albums of all-time, and I’d love to have it on vinyl.

Dave Matthews Band Remember Two Things Vinyl – I’m slowing collecting vinyl for all my favorite albums, and this one is definitely on the list!

F I V E – Gift Cards

Amazon, Target, Etsy… the usual places!

  2. That looks like a great weighted blanket, much better than the kind we bought 5 years ago! I have read a little bit in that book Awake. I have heard it is a good book. Just not sure I can read through it right now. Have a great Friday!

  4. I'm putting the DM albums on my list because my son is starting to get into them. I think he would like to have some of their vinyl. Thanks for the tip.

  5. Fab choices! I am fancying a weighted blanket too and that rug is so pretty. I think the TheraGun would be fantastic for you!
Those funnies did make me chuckle.
