What I Wore

Fall… so close, yet so far away…

We are still having some seriously warm weather (as per the usual here in Georgia), so making the transition to fall is a little tough at this point.  As much as I’d love to trade my sandals for boots and my sleeveless blouses for sweaters and scarves, that’s just not practical unless I want to live in a pool of constant sweat.  No thank you.

To start the transition, I’ve been phasing out the pencil skirts, adding skinny pants, and continuing with the sleeveless blouses and sandals or rocking three quarter length sleeves with shorts.  Trust me, in some cases (like our almost 90 degree Saturday this past weekend) shorts have still been necessary.

Here are some of my looks from the last couple of weeks... and a few of Olivia's, too.  :o)

This coming weekend is supposed to be a bit cooler (and rainy), so while I won’t quite be ready for leggings and scarves, I’m at least hoping to bust out my new booties!

Happy first official day of fall, y’all!

  1. I love these outfits! Girl, I'm in alabama so I know the heat right now. We went to the Alabama game saturday and I thought I was going to have a heat stroke it was so hot. I love fall but I can't even think about fall clothes yet. Hopefully soon though!

    1. Oh I bet it was!! We had debated going to the Georgia/South Carolina game, but it's always so miserably hot that we decided not to go. I'm so ready for some cooler weather, though!

  3. Love you and your little sidekick model! The outfit choices are so cute, and it is so hard to transition in warmer weather. When we lived in N.C. it was the same way. Now that we are in Ohio...the transition happens a bit faster (although it is still pretty warm here).

    1. Thank you! I love my little sidekick, too! Yeah, I've heard that it's a little warmer up north than usual this year for some reason... hopefully we'll all get a cool down soon. I just hope it doesn't go from one extreme to the next too quickly!
