4th of July Decor

It’s no secret that I love to decorate.   I go all out for fall and Christmas every year, and since we added a huge storage closet to our house last summer, I decided to start decorating for some of the other holidays as well since I now have a place to store everything.

Since this is the first year that I’ve ever decorated for 4th of July, I didn’t have anything red, white, and blue, so I drove to my favorite store, Hobby Lobby, to peruse their selection.  Unfortunately there wasn’t much to peruse as they had already replaced most of the 4th of July stuff with Christmas stuff (ridiculous), but I was able to find a few cute things to decorate the mantle.  Next year, I’d like to add a few more things, specifically to the kitchen table and the front porch, but for now, this will have to do.

How cute are those star marquee lights?!  I sure am loving the marquee craze and I hope it stays around for a long time.   I also love how the red, white, and blue decorations in the vases look like fireworks!  So festive.  And look at our sweet little family... that picture was taken on 4th of July the year Olivia was born so she was just four months old.  Gosh, I miss having a tiny nugget.

I hope you enjoyed the tour.  Happy Tuesday!

  1. I love your mantle! I brought all of my decorations up from the basement the other day, now I just have to set them all up. :)

  2. Love the decorations in the vases - reminds me of fireworks. Perfect for the holiday! I checked out Hobby Lobby a few weekends ago and was SO surprised at how little they had, too. Guess you have to start way ahead of time if you want full pickings.

  3. Your mantle looks amazing! I love the Boom Crackle Pop one. It's so much fun. The stars are so fun and the banner hanging is perfect. Great buys though I can't believe Christmas stuff is out.
