What I Wore - August 2019

I can’t believe today marks 18 years since the September 11 attacks.  It’s truly hard to wrap my mind around that because it still feels so fresh in my mind all these years later.  I remember the entire day so vividly, from start to finish… even the insignificant details.  The families of all who were affected are in my heart today and I’ll be saying a special prayer for them today as I do so often.

Now on to something that’s completely unimportant and trivial compared to that…

Outfits.

The month of August was filled with more shorts and tanks, and after editing my pictures I realized I wore a ton of blue!  I don’t even think I knew I had that much blue in my whole wardrobe!  The weather has been sweltering here so we’re all just trying to stay cool, but me being the fall lover that I am, I’ve been trying to feel somewhat fall-ish while staying cool.  I added this olive green button-down tank (worn on 8/10) and this olive green twist-front tank (worn on 8/18) to my wardrobe last month and they are the perfect transition pieces.

Here are my looks for the month of August…

  5. Gosh I remember it like it was yesterday too. I was at LSU and watched the second plane hit in my mass comm class. Such an eerie day. Now on to the outfits! Great scores from Wal Mart. Who knew!? I love these posts, they really help to inspire one's tired closet!

  9. It’s so wild that it was 18 years ago. Sometimes it feels like it was yesterday! Especially when I start seeing all of the footage of that day. My heart hurts so much! You always have the cutest outfits, but I am especially loving days 5, 7, 10, 18, and 23. You are so adorable, friend!!

  11. Such a hard day for so many. I remember exactly where I was. Unfortunately I know some that were personally affected by this tragedy. On another note, loving your jeans and tank top looks.
