Confessions {10.20.2016}

It’s time for another round of Thursday confessions!

I confess…

… that I’m so relieved that they moved This is Us to the 9 PM slot.  Now I can watch it in real time and not regret my decision the next day!  #OldLadiesRejoice

… that I am at the point where I’m just so disheartened at the current state of affairs of this election that I’m pretty much just trying to block it all out at this point.  It appears that everybody hates Donald and everybody hates Hillary, so shouldn’t we all just band together and vote for the third guy?  #IDontEvenKnowAnythingAboutHim

… that we are approaching the last episode of Friday Night Lights and I am not ready for it to be over yet.  I want to take it slowly and savor it, but I also want to watch it during every spare second that we have, so I’m sure we’ll be done with it in the next few days.  #Withdrawals #CoachTaylorForever

… that I bought that Coach Taylor Forever tee that I showed y’all last week, and I plan on rocking it often.  #WhoCaresThatHesOldEnoughToBeMyDad #TimRigginsWho!

… that I’m seriously considering watching Bloodline on Netflix just so I don’t have to give up watching him.  Does anybody watch that?  Is it any good?

… that I’m currently trying to wear Brian down to watch Gilmore Girls with me.  Somebody, please tell him that it is a show for dudes, too!  #EvenThoughItsProbablyNot

… that sometimes I don’t feel like having to wash any dishes at work, so I use a paper cup for my tea instead of a mug. #Lazy

… that I cringe every time I look at my sweet baby’s face that is currently marred with two black eyes.  It hurts my heart to see him like that, even though he’s totally fine and hasn’t been in any pain for a while.  I love him so much it hurts sometimes.

… that after several days without a voice, I’m so thankful to have it back (for the most part)!  You never realize just how much you use it until it’s gone.  #NonStop

Happy Thursday, friends!

  1. I am so glad 'This is us' moved to 9pm too:)
I am so OVER the election. I want to block it out too!
I have started Gilmore Girls and I would never be able to get Ben to watch it with me. Sorry! ;(

    1. Thanks, girl! Yes, I'm trying to wear B down, so we'll see how it goes. He said that he would watch GG with me if I would watch Stranger Things with him, so I think we will have to do that!

  2. Since I'm in the central time zone, This Is Us moved to 8 and that means I get to go to bed shortly after 9--now that's old lady status haha!!! And we still have 2 seasons to go on FNL--slowly but surely getting there. I'll be sad when it's over, too! But I've heard really great things about Bloodline so I bet it's totally worth watching!

  3. I feel the same way about This Is Us! I would DVR it and watch the following day, but now I can stay awake for it. Ha ha! I agree about the election. If we forget about them and try the other man maybe we'd be in a good place. I don't know. It really concerns me and I just wish it would go away.

  4. Ahhh the end of FNL is so sad. I have heard really good things about Bloodline, though! The debate last night was just one hot mess. It started out relatively good, but that lasted a total of like what - 20 min? I think my favorite meme is the one where we just say the US needs to be single for a little while. :)

  5. OMG I am SO happy they moved the time for This is Us too!! However, we still haven't managed to watch this weeks because our Cubbies are playing every night! (not complaining about that though!!)

I have begged Rick to watch GG too but it just aint happening!! I've seen almost every episode but it's been so long and now I'm just about done with season 1 and yeah, it's really not a show for a guys buuut I do think they could enjoy it ha ha!

  6. This is us being moved is AMAZING. That show, oh how I love it. I haven't watched an episode of the GG EVER. Isnt that terrible?! The sad part is I probably won't have time to for like 10 years. I won't watch it alone at night and I can't watch it with the girls. UGH! #firstworldproblems

    Happy almost Friday friend.

  8. I'm loving This is Us, we always DVR it so I don't even know the time that it normally goes on. Mr. HATES Gilmore Girls, like to the point he can't even be in the same room when it is on...he says that they talk way too fast and that irritates him, lol. And Mr. has mentioned the podcast too, he says he's heard some dude on the radio talk about them before, haha.

  9. Hey I go to bed early too. I love that they moved This is Us. Love that show so much. This weeks episode was soooo good. Love it. I am not sure if Brian would like Gilmore Girls. Rory has caught an episode here and there, but usually tunes it out. I am so sorry that Jacob is rocking two black eyes. Poor guy.

  10. Yay for having your voice back. And, yes I am with you on This is Us new time slot. I was so thankful that I wouldn't fall asleep in the middle and have to finish the next day, haha. I'm so old. We watched Bloodline and loved it. I'll admit it took me about 3-4 episodes to commit, but once I did I was all in!

  12. I tried to get Matt to watch Gilmore Girls with me and he won't either. He says it's a girl show! :) I'm so frustrated with the election too. I don't know who voted for Hillary and Donald because I don't know anyone who likes them!

  13. Yes for all the This is Us and Gilmore Girls chat! Also, I'm sick of the election and I don't even live there.
