Fall Family Portraits 2017

As always, one of the things on our fall bucket list this year was to take some professional family portraits to use for Christmas cards.  Well, we were just so darn busy this year that our calendar didn’t really allow for us to meet with any professional photographers, so one Saturday morning we got up early, loaded up the kids and the tripod, and we took our own pictures at the park.

It happened to be extremely humid that morning so my hair as well as Olivia's went a little bit crazy and my allergies were also acting up that day as well, so I have giant allergy shiners under my eyes.  #WhatCanYouDo  And since we didn't use a professional with these, they aren’t near as good as the ones that we got last year when we did use a professional, but these are good enough for me during this busy season of life that we are in… and it saved us a whole lot of money!  That’s the focus these days, after all.  Haha.

Without further ado, our fall family portraits… and as always, settle in because it’s going to be a long one!

Well, what did you think?  Not award-winning photography, but not too shabby either?

Now to get all of these Christmas cards mailed!

Happy Wednesday!

For our Christmas cards we didn't go with a professional either, my brother took them with my camera and they weren't too bad. And we saved ourselves a pretty penny.

    1. Awwww, Andrea, you are so sweet! I love all of the pictures of the kids laughing together... that is truly what they look like on a daily basis. They are always cracking each other up. Well, either that or making each other cry. Lol.

  13. I still can't believe you got the family ones yourself! They are so good and everyone is smiling. That was fantastic. You also captured the kids personalities and some of those single shots of them are year-long framers. Just beautiful!

  17. By the grace of God we found a photoshoot spot open for this Sunday and I can’t wait! It’s super late, but better late than never. Right??? At least that’s what I’m sticking with! Ha. You guys did so good with your pictures. They are beautiful sweet friend. Okay, now share your secret on how you got your kids to cooperate for so many pictures? Mason’s done after one, two tops. Again, gorgeous pictures.

  19. Your pics show that not all of the family photos done have to be professional. All of the pics you posted turned out wonderfully. I really love that one of your two kiddos laughing at each other.
