Fall Family Photos 2022

Well, per usual, we ended up taking family pictures uber late this year, and by uber late, I mean just last week.  EEK!  I swore after last year that we were going to hire a photographer to get some professional shots of us this year, but I ended up dropping the ball again and here we are.

That said, this year’s turned out better than last year’s, and they’re not too shabby considering we did them using a tripod and a timer.  Not to mention it was FREEEEZING outside.

Thankfully, the morning that we finally decided to do them, it was cloudy, so we were also able to do them right in our own backyard.  While I do typically prefer taking pictures with some sunlight peeping through the trees, it’s always hard to get a good sunlight shot without driving to another location.  Our backyard has never been the best for daytime pictures since we don’t have many trees.

And without shade, some of us won’t open our eyes outside without sunglasses.  Ahem, Jacob!!  Haha.

So anyhoo, this was the best we could do!  And all of this only took about 15 minutes… and we didn’t even have to drive anywhere!  Definitely calling this one a win!

Happy Monday, y’all!

  1. Your photos turned out great. Especially doing them yourselves. My kids are beyond cooperating for me.

  4. These are so good! I can't believe you get those with the timer and tripod! We took a few pictures over the weekend. They're not perfect, but I decided to make a collage card for the whole year. So it all worked out in the end! Have a wonderful week!

  5. These turned out great! That's pretty much how/what I do with my boys' photos each year. We take less than 15 minutes in our side yard and I snap a few of each kid, then a few of the 3 of them together and call it a day. LOL. Good enough and much easier on the wallet.

  6. These photos turned out SO great! I love the mix of plaid on the kids outfits and that leather skirt is just lovely on you! I really need to add some leather pieces to my closet asap! Don't feel bad, we just did our photos last week after our Thanksgiving meal! Ha, ha! We just did them of the kids, so it wasn't too stressful!
