Five On Friday

Hi everyone!  I am thrilled to my toes that Friday is finally here!  It was a loooong week, but now Brian is home and we are all excited for the weekend.

Today I’m linking up with A Liz Adventures for Five On Friday and A Little Bit of Everything for Friday Favorites.

It’s here, it’s here, it’s finally here!  My Erin Condren Life Planner for 2016 arrived on my doorstep yesterday in a pretty pink box and it could not be more gorgeous.  I purchased a twelve month planner this time instead of the eighteen month planner, and I’m very pleased at how much thinner it is without the additional six months of paper.  It will be nice to have a little bit of extra room in my purse next year.  I can’t wait to start planning my layouts and getting this thing ready for the new year… is it 2016 yet?!

Olivia had her 18 month well visit on Wednesday, and as per the usual, she is as healthy as a horse!  And almost as big as a horse.  Just kidding.  But seriously, this girl is still huge and near the top of the charts for height and weight.  Let’s review, shall we?

Weight – 28 lbs. (90th percentile)
Height – 32.75 inches (75th percentile)

The doc said that even though her weight and height are slightly disproportionate now, there’s nothing to worry about because she should start thinning out a little pretty soon.

She has an ear infection in her left ear, which I had already assumed going in, as she’s been highly congested for the last week.  He gave her an antibiotic which should clear it right up, and fortunately he did not bring up the dreaded “tubes” conversation again.  We already went through that with Jacob, and although it went very smoothly, the thought of my baby having to go under anesthesia always makes my skin crawl.

She had to get one shot, which she cried over, but she kept it short and sweet, and was all better once Mommy picked her up and kissed her.  Oh, how I love this sweet girl.

On Tuesday, I linked up with Momfessionals for Show and Tell Tuesdays, and I shared the five people who I would invite to a dinner party.  It was such a fun post and now I’m sad that I’m not really having a dinner party with these people.  It would pretty much be one of the most fabulous nights of my entire life if it really happened… partially because these two would be there…

Yesterday I posted a super simple tutorial on how to makeover a serving tray that needs a little face lift.  You can see it here if you missed it.

Tonight we’re heading to my alma mater (and Jacob’s new school) for the homecoming festivities and football game.  I’m keeping my fingers crossed for some good, chilly fall weather so we can watch football the way it was meant to be watched.  FALL Y’ALL!!!!

Have a great weekend!

    1. Oh yes, I did see that you had clarified... Lol, I seriously could NOT believe it when I thought her weight was still in the teens. Lol.

That's so awesome that your kids get to go to your old schools, too. So crazy to know that they're walking the same halls that we walked!
