Confessions {9.1.2016}

Happy first day of the best four months of the entire year, everyone!  Let’s get right down to some confessions.

I confess…

… that I’m sick and tired of living in a world where people have no morals and no values.  Tuesday evening a house on the street that runs perpendicular to ours (we can see their back yard from ours) was vandalized.  Around 4:30 or 5 in the afternoon, in broad daylight, right during the time of day when people are getting home from work and school, somebody kicked in their FRONT door and stole a bunch of stuff.  They a) must be really stupid to do something that brazen and b) must be really strong because, y’all, they literally kicked the front door in and broke it IN HALF.  And our front doors are made of wood and metal… no glass or windows on them or anything.  I have no clue in the world how anyone could have even done something like that, but it’s really scary.  And now I feel unsafe in my own home.  And I don’t like that feeling at all.  A-holes.

… that this week is kicking my butt in a major way.  Work has been insane.  Our social calendar has been insane.  Life has been insane.  I’m starting to feel a little like I’m drowning in my to-do list.  Thank the Lord for a three-day weekend this weekend.

… that work has been sheer misery lately.  Does anybody want to help me invent something so we can make lots of money and be our own bosses?  Anybody?

… that by the time this week is over we will have eaten either sandwiches or takeout for dinner on four of the seven nights.  Yikes.  Cooking… #AintNobodyGotTimeFoDat

… that I have already gotten Brian to try to pick up a Pumpkin Spice Latte for me at Starbucks, but they said that they weren’t available yet.  #IfYoureAheadOfStarbucksThenYoureReallyAhead

… that I didn’t even wait until September 1st to decorate for fall this year… I decorated last night.  BOOM.

One more day, friends… One. More. Day.  #Football  #Weekend  #Amen

  1. That is so scary and absolutely nuts. I'm so sorry you don't feel safe Hun. I hope the people are caught so you get your sense of security back. Yay for fall. I laughed about Starbucks. Ha ha

  2. I'm so ready for PSL to be out too! And hopefully those people will be caught and will have to pay for what they did. It amazes me that they did that in broad daylight. My week has been overly scheduled and I just want a night at home to do nothing!

  3. That is so sad about the house being vandalized. I always get nervous about that happening. Hopefully they catch the people who did it! Bummer about the PSL at Starbucks! I heard they have pumpkin flavors at Dunkin Donuts so I'm going to stop by on my way to work this morning and see if it's true!

  5. Ugh. I'm sorry to hear of the break-in. We've had a few weird things happening up here in my beck of the woods lately, as well. I hate it. In fact, I woke Jon up last night because I was sure I heard something. It was just cat...but still.... Sending a virtual hug.

As far as inventing something? I'm in! Ooooooooor your blog will just continue to be awesome and you'll end up like Abby from Just a Girl and Her Blog! I truly believe you could do it! You've got it going on, girlfriend!

    Happy almost weekend, guuuuuuurl!!!

So sorry that you don't feel safe and are having a rough week. It honestly scares me how evil people are.

  9. That is so scary! That someone would do that in broad daylight! So freakin' crazy! This week feels so long and I have a mile long to do list for Mini Fox's birthday party next weekend! Like what?! I still need to plan the food! I feel behind...

  10. Oh my gosh Lindsay, that is so so scary about your neighbor!! Ugh why are people such axxholes!!?

I know what you mean about drowning lately, I feel the same way, just very overwhelmed. I hope work gets better and I would so be down to go into business, but really let's just get our blogs to blow up and make income that way, it seems much easier, ha ha :)

  13. We had someone try to break into our house when I lived in college and they broke through our door. They busted the frame is how they did it. So scary. I want to invent things and make all the money as well!!! I love that you already decorated. Way to go!!!

  14. I totally smiled when I saw your pumpkin on IG the other night. I think I am going to decorate tomorrow if I have time (at least a little). I LOVE this time of year so much. If you think of anything to invent, let me know, I'm in!

  15. Most break-in crimes are committed by someone who knows the home-owners - not that it makes the situation any better, but hopefully your own home is safe. Someone recently slashed a tire on my husband's car while he was at work. His job involved repossessing property at the time; we wonder if an angry customer saw him getting into his car once and wanted to be a jerk.
