Christmas Bucket List 2018 - What We Accomplished

Let’s see how we did, shall we?

O N E – Transition from Dark Red and Gold Decorations to Red and White Decorations

CHECK!  The transition has been made and it’s pretty incredible.  It’s amazing how much lighter and brighter our home is now!  You can see the tour here.

T W O – Ramp Up Outdoor Christmas Decorations

CHECK!  We added lights in the bushes and a 9-foot blow-up Santa.  I’d say that’s stepping up our game.  ;o)  You can view the home tour here.

T H R E E – Give Back

CHECK!  As always, we adopted a little boy and a little girl through our church and we showered them with gifts + some things that they need.

F O U R – 2nd Annual North Pole Breakfast

CHECK!  Cheek arranged for the kids to have a fantastic breakfast filled with sweets, new Christmas PJs, and new ornaments for the tree!  Recap here.

F I V E – Winterfest at our Local University

CHECK!  It was our first time and we enjoyed it so much we’ll probably try to make it again next year.  Recap here.

S I X – Christmas Tree Lighting for Brian’s Company

CHECK!  This year they changed it up and did a character meet and greet and the kids loved it.  Recap here.

S E V E N – Celebrate 11 Years Married

CHECK!  B and I spent an entire day together the day before while the kids were at school.  Recap here.

E I G H T – Breakfast with Santa

CHECK!  The kids always enjoy this one as well and it’s something we do every year.  Recap here.

N I N E – Watch Georgia Play in the SEC Championship Game

CHECK!  Aaaand, sadly, we lost.  Womp womp.  There’s always next year.  Recap here.

T E N – Christmas Tree Lighting Downtown

CHECK!  And we got to enjoy it with my parents and my brother and his family since they live here now!  Yay!  Recap here.

E L E V E N – Show Home Alone 2 to the Kids for the First Time

CHECK!  And, of course, they loved it.  Recap here.

T W E L V E – Ramp Up Our Elf on the Shelf Game Yet Again

CHECK!  Our Cheek gets more and more mischievous as the years progress.  This year he got into the M&Ms on our bar cart, left messages for the kids with Hot Wheels, wrote out a grocery list for me, created a letter board, and put a puzzle together one day while the kids weren't looking.  I can only imagine what he’ll be up to next year.  ;o)

Days 1-15

Days 16 -31

T H I R T E E N – Annual Girls’ Scarf & Ornament Exchange

CHECK!  Another successful evening with four of my favorite ladies.  Recap here.

F O U R T E E N – Fantasy in Lights

CHECK!  We rode the jolly trolley this year and it was freeeezing.  One of my favorite trips to FIL yet!  Recap here.

F I F T E E N – Drive Around and Look at Lights

CHECK!  This year we actually spit it into two nights.  Our neighborhood is so big that it takes almost an hour just to drive around it, so we did that one night and then drove around some other neighborhoods on a different night.  Recap here.

S I X T E E N – Visit with the Mall Santa

CHECK!  Our same Santa was back yet again, and we visited him for the eighth year in a row!  Recap here.

S E V E N T E E N – Indulge in at Least One Peppermint Mocha

CHECK!  I definitely had at least three or four.  ;o)

E I G H T E E N – New Ornaments for Each of the Kids

CHECK!  This year I bought their ornaments from Disney World.  Jacob received a Buzz Lightyear car since he loved Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin so much and Olivia received a Tinkerbell ornament straight from Tinkerbell’s gift shop herself.  ;o)  They both LOVED them.

N I N E T E E N – Send Out Christmas Cards

CHECK!  Shutterfly, I just love you.  These might be my favorite cards yet.  Recap here and fall family photos here.

T W E N T Y – Christmas Eve Childrens’ Mass

CHECK!  And this Christmas Eve mass was by far my favorite ever because Jacob and Olivia got to carry baby Jesus down and place Him in the manger.  It was a special moment that I’ll remember for always.  Recap here.

Well, we somehow managed to check every single thing off of our list yet again!  We’re on a roll!  And just like that, Christmas 2018 is over.
