Five on Friday - Thoughtful Mother’s Day Gift Ideas

*This post contains affiliate links.  As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.

I didn’t intend to post about Mother’s Day gift ideas this year, but I’ve come across so many sweet little items this past week, that I thought I’d sneak in a few… even though I’m a little late to the party.

The items span a pretty wide price range, so there’s something for everyone whether you want to spend $15 or $200.  I don’t typically promote many items in the higher price range here on the blog simply because I don’t typically purchase those kinds of items, but every now and then, I will splurge (hello, Rothy’s!!!!), and the nicer items in this post are items that I either own or would be willing to purchase.

O N E – Simplified Planner

I’m currently on year three of the Simplified Planner, and I can honestly say it’s the best planner I’ve ever owned.  I wrote all about my love for this planner here, here, and here, and I also did this blog post about how I organized my entire life using this planner as one of my tools.

Emily Ley’s line of designer planners are made of the highest quality materials, they’re designed to give you everything you need without all of the stuff you don’t need, and they are gorgeous!  They come in daily or weekly options, and there are several beautiful patterns from which to choose.  The new line for 2021-2022 was just released earlier this month, and that Carolina Gingham has my heart… that’s likely going to be my choice for 2022!

I can’t think of a better gift for a mom than the gift of organization.  Most mommas are constantly frazzled – we are the keepers of all the things, after all – so why not give mom a gift that can help her get her life in order?

T W O – Rothy's

I've owned my pair of Rothy's flats for several months now and I can say, without a doubt, that they are the best, most comfortable flats I've ever put on my feet.  They are pricey, but they are well worth the investment... and this is coming from a girl who does not typically spend that kind of money on shoes.  I love mine so much that I dedicated an entire blog post to them and you can read it here if you missed it.

Rothy's are made from recycled water bottles (so strange, I know) so they are machine-washable, too.  That was the main selling point for me as all other flats I've ever owned have eventually gotten gross and sweaty since they're worn without socks.  I washed mine for the first time this past week, and they are like new!!  And they didn't shrink or stretch, and they still fit my feet exactly as they did when they were brand new.  I was verrrry skeptical about the whole washing thing, y'all, but it's true.

Rothy's come in tons of styles, colors, and patterns, so there's something for every mom on your list!  Rothy's offers $20 off of your first pair with my referral link... please email me if you'd like me to send it to you!

T H R E E – Barrington Tote

I’ve never been a designer handbag girl, and I’ve never spent more than $30 on a purse.  That said, I’ve reached the point in life where I’d love to invest in a nicer bag that’s going to last a bit longer than a $30 bag from Target.  I’ve had my eye on a Barrington tote for a couple of years now, and I think they would make the perfect gift for Mother’s Day.

There are several totes from which to choose so it’s easy to find your perfect size, and the outside is fully customizable from the colors and patterns to the trims and the monograms (if you desire a monogram).  They’re very well-made, and from what I’ve heard, they hold up beautifully, and they would make such a lovely gift for mom.

F O U R – Essential Oils and Diffuser

We use oils in our home multiple times per day, every single day, and they’re now something that I wouldn’t ever want to live without.  Slowly replacing the products in our home with Young Living’s line of clean products (the old “ditch and switch”) has been such a blessing for our family, and what a blessing they’d be for your momma, too!

Not only are you removing the toxins from your home by switching out your candles, soaps, cleaning products, etc., you’re also able to create your own dreamy scents to diffuse like Peppermint and Lime (my current favorite).  I’ve been diffusing that combination in this diffuser for weeks now, and it is just my favorite thing.  If you’re interested in signing up or learning more, you can check out this page on my blog, or feel free to shoot me an email.

F I V E – Soft and Cozy Pajamas

I recently discovered the goodness that is the Stars Above line at Target, and I may never go back to any other pajama brand.  All of their PJs are so soft and luxurious, it’s hard to believe that they’re from Target.  I personally love their sets that come with camisoles (I like very thin straps when I sleep), but this sleeveless pair and this button-down set are both dreamy, too.  Mommas will definitely appreciate any gifts that allow her to relax and be cozy.

Friday Funnies

Guilty!!!!  <<  See?

Picking out a special ringtone for each of my closest friends and family members was my jam!

  3. So many cute things here! We usually keep it simple for mother's day but I wouldn't mind getting treated to any of these. Hope you have a good weekend!

  4. I am so stumped on mother's day ideas all around-- myself, my mom, my mother in law... I just have zero ideas. That meme with the exclamation points is exactly how I feel about my bog and comments. I was literally just thinking last night that I hoped people realized I am excited and not just shouting at them in print!

    1. Haha, I feel the same way! I have always overused exclamation points, but it's just who I am!

  5. The ringtone meme is so true. I used to spend so much money on ring tones. I love my rothy's. Such a good investment piece. I am like you. I want some big ticket items, but I rarely spend that much money. That is why I haven't bought the Tory Burch Miller sandals yet, but I really want them. I would love another pair of Rothy's or Tieks too!

  7. I could really use some jammies because I don't have any. Just leggings or whatever t-shirt I can find in my hubbys drawer. But instead of asking for that for Mothers Day... I asked for Glossier LOL
