Our 2021 30A Spring Break Beach Trip by the Numbers

We decided at the last minute to head to our favorite place for spring break, and the trip did not disappoint!  I’ll be recapping the entire thing here on the blog as I always do, but here’s a little recap of our trip by the numbers first…

5 – Days we were on our trip

4 – Nights we stayed in the condo

5 – Little beach towns we visited while we were there (Inlet, Rosemary, Seacrest, Seagrove, Seaside)

1 – Pandemic that was going on while we were there

2 – Times Olivia asked for snacks (this is, by far, the lowest ever… I feel like I didn’t record this number properly.  Haha.)

6 – Times Olivia asked if we were almost there

1 – Time we had to pull over on the way because the rain was too heavy to drive safely

2 – Times we had to turn on our flashers because the rain was so heavy, and we had to drive slowly

1 – Time we had to stop at a shady gas station for a bathroom break

0 – People wearing masks inside said shady gas station

3 – Times somebody said “cows” on the way down there and back

0 – Time the GPS fell off the windshield (this has never happened before… we always have at least one casualty)

11 – Adult beverages consumed

24 – Donuts consumed

14 – Ice creams consumed

16 – Hours spent on the beach (15 daytime and 1 evening)

1 – Time we went crabbing after dark

0 – Crabs seen (I think it was too cold since we went so early in the year)

2 – Bottles of sunscreen that we went through

0 – Times we had to move on the beach because people set up their stuff too close (we lucked out this year!)

1 – Time we got takeout for dinner and ate in the condo to avoid restaurants

2 – Times we ate outside at a restaurant for dinner

1 – Time we ate inside a restaurant for dinner (we were literally the only people in there the entire time because we went so early)

3 – Times we ate lunch in the condo to avoid restaurants

0 – Time we ate at a restaurant for lunch

1 – Book I read on the trip (The Two Lives of Lydia Bird)

0 – Times we were asked if the kids are twins (we used to get this question all the time, but we rarely do anymore, and honestly, I think they look more like twins than ever right now!)

445 – Pictures taken on the trip with my iPhone

0 – Pictures taken on the trip with my fancy camera

52 – Videos taken on the trip with my iPhone

?? – Miles driven (I forgot to keep track again… whoops)

I’ll be recapping our entire trip soon, but if you want a little sneak peek until then, you can always check out the “Beach ‘21” highlight in my Instagram bio.

Happy Monday, y’all!

  3. No pics on the real camera? I'm getting lax with using mine too, iphones are just so much easier! Sounds like a great trip!

  8. I love that the highest numbers with the ice cream and donuts! My kind of trip! My girls ask for snack and how often we are there too many times to count!
