Happy Friday,
y’all! This has been the happiest
week because I found out my adjustments are holding (and the doctor didn’t have
to adjust me at all on Tuesday) and I got to see my favorite band of all-time
(Dave Matthews Band) live for the 29th time on Wednesday evening… I’m still
riding that high! More on both of those
things below, and also a few more favorites…
O N E – White Flowy
Skirt
I have wanted a
long flowy white skirt for pretty much my whole life, and I finally pulled the
trigger on this one last week when I saw Shay from Mix and Match Mama post about
it. It was on sale when I bought it (the
price is now a bit higher), and I love it!
It’s light and flowy and I love the wide, stretchy, elastic band at the
top… that makes it easy to adjust so you can wear it however you’d like – high
on the torso above the belly button, or low on the hips. This one is fully lined, too, and it comes in
lots of colors! It’s going to look so
cute this summer with some cropped tops!
T W O – Sandals
I bought these sandals months ago and I don’t think I ever shared them here on the blog. This is my favorite style of sandal, and the
brown ones that I’ve had for, probably, 10 years are literally falling apart,
so I finally found some new ones in this style and I looooveeee them. The bling and the knot detailing adds so much
to them, and they’re really comfortable.
They’re actually even prettier in person… the picture does not do them
justice. They’re still fully stocked in
all sizes!
T H R E E – Rainbow
Loom Creations
Olivia has been
creating with her Rainbow Loom nonstop for the last couple of weeks, and she
has made some really cool things. In
addition to making these fancy bracelets, she also started watching YouTube
videos to make little animals and Pokemon characters. They are so intricate and just plain amazing,
and I cannot recommend this set enough if you have kids who love to
create! There are endless possibilities for
creating with these and it has kept Olivia (and Jacob) busy for hours these
last couple of weeks!
F O U R – My
Adjustments are Holding!
On Tuesday,
when I went for my fifth atlas/axis (C1 and C2) adjustment, my doctor told me
that my adjustments have all been holding, and since my atlas and axis are both
back in place from a nerve standpoint (they still need to move slightly for
overall bone structure), he didn’t have to adjust me at all! I’ll talk more about that next week in my
weekly update post, but today I wanted to share because it was definitely one
of my favorite things from this week!
In addition to
that, they also sent the digital files of all of my data, so I wanted to share
these much clearer pictures than the ones I posted in my weekly update earlier
this week. These are not actual pictures
of my skull – they are renderings – but they were worked up based on my exact
data and measurements, so they do show the actual position that my skull and
neck and body were in before any of the adjustments. I went back and added these to my weekly
update, too, since they were the ones I was wanting to include in the original
post anyway.

F I V E – Dave Matthews
Band Concert Stats
Again, I’ll be
posting all about the Dave Matthews Band concert we attended on Wednesday in
next week’s weekly update post, but the concert was my very favorite thing for
the week, so I couldn’t not share it here, too.
:o) I’ve been a DMB fan since I
was 12 years old, and us DMB fans are pretty hard core.
There is a
website that has been around forever (antsmarching.org) that contains every single setlist for
every single Dave Matthews Band concert ever (since 1989!!!!) and it tells all
kinds of details like the rarest songs played at each show, the most common
songs played at each show, etc.
You can start
an account (it’s free) and create a personal database of all of the DMB shows
you have attended, and the website will calculate all of your personalized DMB stats…
it’s AMAZING. I joined it back in 2002
after my first DMB concert and it is always so exciting to add a new show to it
each year and check out my statistics.
It tallies how
many shows you’ve been to (with all data from each), it shows you the average
rating for the show (based on ratings everyone else on the website rated the
show), it shows the rarest song that you heard at your show, it provides a pie
chart with all of the songs you’ve heard by album, it gives you the rarity
index for each show (based on the songs they played), it shows a map of all of
the states you’ve seen them (I’ve seen them in five!), and you can see your
song statistics broken down by album (it tells you how many times you’ve heard
each song live and when you last heard it), among other things.
What a lot of
people don’t know is that DMB plays a completely different setlist every single
night while they’re on tour, so every single song is a surprise. It’s nothing like Taylor Swift and Ed Sheeran
and everyone else with their fixed setlists.
So DMB is always playing a good mixture of old stuff and new stuff as
well as cover songs and unreleased songs.
While I hated
statistics class and I hate math, I actually really love quantifying things
that are important to me, so this website is my favorite thing!! If this doesn’t prove how much of a DMB
fanatic I am, then I don’t know what does!
Haha.

Our 2025 30A Summer Beach Trip - Days 1, 2, & 3
Our Week - The One with Summer, Week 4 (Bowling, Three UCC Adjustments, Trampoline Park, and Poker Night)
Happy Friday,
y’all!
Thank you for sharing an update of your atlas readjustment with us! It's just so amazing to me that something so little has controlled so much of your life. It just reaffirms that our bodies are amazing and so intricate! Also so jealous of your concert this past week!!! I wanted to see them in Birmingham so bad but it didn't work out with Dustin's schedule. And after I saw them share the setlist on IG, I wanted to cry even more LOL
ReplyDeleteI love all the DMB stats, that is so cool! And also cool to hear that things are going well with the readjustments!
