Five on Friday - Faux Fur Electric Blanket, Halloween Sweatshirt, Christmas Pajamas, $5 Christmas Ornaments, and More

Happy Friday, y’all!  It’s been a long week of re-entry after vacation, and I’ve been soooo tired.  Thankfully, I didn’t have much going on while the kids were at school so I was able to tackle a lot of stuff that needed attention, but I was able to go at a slower pace since I feel like a turtle this week.

O N E – Faux Fur Electric Blanket

The temps here have officially dipped into the 50s at night which means that I had to pull out my electric blanket for the season!  Maui overtook my fleece electric blanket several years ago, so Brian got a faux fur electric blanket for me last Christmas, and it is the best thing ever!  I wrap myself up in it every morning and it keeps me so cozy… it even warms my feet and toes, which is great, since they stay cold year-round, especially in the winter.

My exact blanket is no longer available, but I found this one that’s almost identical to it.  It would make a great holiday gift for anyone.  I truly couldn’t live without my electric blanket.  This one is currently 50% off, too.

T W O – Spooky Season Sweatshirt

I bought this sweatshirt several years ago and it’s still one of my favorites.  I love that it’s festive without being too over the top!  It’s also more of a lightweight sweatshirt as the inside isn’t lined with fleece, so it’s perfect for October in the south since it’s not terribly cold here yet.  It comes it lots of different colors, too.

T H R E E – Christmas PJs for Kids

PSA – It’s time to get your Christmas PJs!  Christmas pajamas sell out so early every year, so I always try to grab ours as soon as they come out.  In recent years, we’ve been getting Cat & Jack pajamas for the kids because they’re the only brand that I can find that makes a shorts and short sleeve combo.  Our kids won’t wear long sleeves or pants, and it seems that all Christmas pajamas are long sleeves and pants, except for these!

I love the ruffles on the shorts on the first pair and I loveeee the homage to the Christmas Vacation movie on the second pair.  And they’re only $10!  There are other designs in addition to these two as well.

F O U R – $5 Christmas Ornaments

Target has all of their Wondershop ornaments available online now, and as always, they’re just $5 each!  They have the cutest selection this year – there are HUNDREDS – and the quality is amazing for every single one of them.  We have purchased many of these throughout the years and they are some of my favorites on the tree.  This Old Fashioned ornament is going on my favorite things tree this year!  I had hoped to use that Manhattan cocktail ornament from Amazon that I’d found, but the original order and the replacements kept arriving broken, so I finally gave up.  This glass Old Fashioned ornament arrived in perfect shape!

F I V E – The Life of an Enneagram 6

I find the Enneagram fascinating, and this “The Life of a An Enneagram…” series that @enneagramashton did on Instagram was so fun!  I’m a 6 on the Enneagram, and every single one of these bullet points describes me to a tee.  However, for the first time ever, I also found myself relating to another number – every single one of these bullet points on the Enneagram 4 describes me to a tee as well!  Do you know your Enneagram number?

  1. What a pretty electric blanket! Maybe I will get one at some point, but I still have too many hot flashes as of now, ha! I am an enneagram 2, but can certainly relate to all of them. It's so interesting! Have a good Friday and weekend!

  2. I always think if I used an electric blanket, I'd be too cold once I took it off! I don't like that jarring change. I think I'm an enneagram 6 too!

  3. Ahh! I do like an electric blanket and that sweatshirt is so cute! I was actually looking at Christmas pj's this week, my youngest is the same and hates long sleeves and pants.
hahaha! I have the three pillows at night to be able to sleep properly.

  4. I love the sweatshirt. Sadly, I would need the tshirt version because of our ridiculous weather this year!
