Happy Friday, y’all!  It’s been another productive week and I’m just rolling right along and crossing things off of my Master To Do list right and left!  Such a great feeling!  Are y’all ready for some favorites from the week?  Here we go!

O N E – Professional Pics from the Ball

The pro pics from the ball are in and they turned out great!  We got our picture back from the step-and-repeat, a picture that was in the local news, and a bunch of candid pictures of us on the dance floor.  Such a fun night!

T W O – New Year’s Bar Cart

I realized the other day that I never shared my New Year’s bar cart with y’all, so here it is!  It’s the only area of the house that I decorate for the new year, and it’s always one of my favorite bar cart looks of the whole year!

T H R E E – Spelling Bee 2nd Place Champ

Jacob was in a spelling bee last week for the entire second grade and out of all 44 second graders he came in second place!!!!  We are so incredibly proud of him!  From the time that he was about six months old, I told Brian that I thought he was going to have a gift for letters and words because he was completely and utterly (and freakishly) obsessed with the alphabet song.  It was literally the only thing that would calm him down sometimes if he was upset.

Fast forward to him turning one year old and he could already say the entire alphabet as well as identify each of the letters.  At the age of ONE.  He started reading words at the age of 2.5-3 and he started reading sentences at the age of four.  He’s now in second grade and reading on a fifth grade reading level, and he has literally gotten a 100 on every single spelling test he’s taken in his entire life.  And we don’t even study, y’all.  It’s freaky.  The fact that he just beat 42 other kids his age at a spelling bee just solidified my feelings all those years ago.

He was SO proud and was practically bursting with the information when he climbed in the car last Friday.  His excitement was contagious!!  He got a little trophy and he is just so proud of it.  And in case you’re wondering, the word he went out on was “drowsy.”  And the worst part is, he knows how to spell it!  He spelled it D-R-O-W-Y… we think he just got overconfident and rushed too fast when he was saying it so he forgot the “S.”  Bummer.

I wanted to get a picture of him with his trophy and these were the faces he gave me.  Hahahaha.  Such a goofball.

F O U R – Carrie Underwood Stole My Baby Name

Carrie Underwood had her second little boy a couple of weeks ago and she named him none other than Jacob Bryan!  Our Jacob is also Jacob Brian, just Brian with an “I” instead of a “Y” since he’s named after his Daddy.  B and I thought that was so cool, but Jacob wasn’t impressed.  Lol.

F I V E – Kitchen Cabinet Painting is Going DOWN!

Our kitchen cabinet painting is underway and I’m ECSTATC, y’all!!  They are hoping to be done today so I will hopefully have an update with the finished product next week, but in the meantime, here is a little progress update.  And as always, you can follow along with me on Instagram Stories as well!

BEFORE

DAY 1 OF UPDATE

S I X – Amazon Purchases

If you’re nosy like I am and you like to see what other people purchase from Amazon on a monthly basis, I have a post for you!  I’m going to start joining a link-up every first Tuesday of the month to share what I purchased from Amazon in the month prior.  My post for January Amazon purchases is here in case you missed it!

S E V E N – Winner Winner!

My friend Heather over at MyGlittery Heart has the best shop on Etsy.  So many cute things!  She gave away a wine glass on her blog recently and I was the winner!  I rarely win anything so I was excited.  Naturally, I chose this Georgia wine glass.  :o)  If you’re ever in the market for a darling glass, mug, or travel cup, check out her shop.  She has plenty of great stuff for gift-giving.  Thank you, Heather!

And finally some more funny memes for you… I swear, the internet has been on fire lately and I just can’t stop laughing at some of these!  Especially Ross!!  Hahahaha.

Yep.

This one has Olivia's name all over it.

Bahahaha.

Don't even try to fold the towels, B.

THIS IS SO ME, Y'ALL!
I seriously laughed at this one all night long the other night.  Just ask B.
Happy Friday, y’all!

  14. What a wonderful accomplishment and I am so glad that he doesn't seem at all disappointed to have "lost" on a word he knew. He should be so proud of himself!! The painting job makes your kitchen look like an entirely new space. Can' wait to see it all finished.
