Organizing Supplies for the New Year

I loooove organizing, and I always feel the most inspired to do it in the new year.  I’ve been a busy bee these last few weeks cleaning out everything and organizing as I do at the beginning of every new year, and today I thought I’d share a few organizing items that I have on my radar, along with some organizing items that we already have and love.

Leggings Organizer

I love leggings.  I wear them to work out.  I wear them for everyday use.  I even wear them and dress them up.  So, as you can probably imagine, I have many pairs.  Up to this point, I’ve always rolled them up and stood them on end in a small basket, but I have so many pairs now (many that look similar but are different brands and serve different purposes), so I’ve been looking for a different way to store them that would allow me to see them better.  I came across this organizer, and it looks like a great option for organizing leggings.  I love that the leggings all hang in a neat little row vertically so they don’t take up much space in the closet.  And I love that the hanger design is an arch, so you can see the different pairs.  This organizer has been added to my wish list!

Leggings Organizer #2

I also came across this option, and I love this one, too!  Having the leggings rolled up in a vertical organizer would allow me to see them so much better than having them rolled up and standing on end in a basket.  Now to decide which option is better between this one and the hanger…

Tank Top Organizer

My summer uniform is a basic tank and jean shorts, and since Target always has fantastic basic tanks for, like, $4 every summer, I have them in every color of the rainbow.  Literally.  I must have 25 of them!  I love how this one hanger has space to hang ten tanks to utilize vertical space and save on horizontal space.  These would be great for my Target tanks and my cropped tanks!

Purse/Clutch Organizer

I have several purses and clutches that are currently stacked on top of one another on a shelf in my closet.  They often topple over, which is annoying, so I’d love to have one of these acrylic organizers to stand them up in.

Purse/Clutch Organizer

This option is awesome, too, because it’s adjustable!

Drawer Organizers

Give me all the drawer organizers!!  I love these things and I use them in my office, in my bathroom, in my kitchen, etc.  My nightstand drawer is currently cleaned out and organized, but everything is just laying in there with no separation which means that things will eventually slide around and get out of place.  I’d love to fill the whole drawer with these so I can have individual compartments for all of my things – chapstick, glasses, oils, meds that I take every night, hand lotion, etc.  I love all of the sizing options in this pack… it would be so nice to have those teeny tiny ones for my small stuff!

Drawer Organizer Set #2

This set of drawer organizers looks great, too, and it’s such a great value for the price!

Under Cabinet Storage Shelves

The cabinet under our kitchen sink is ridiculously packed with stuff – soap, cleaning supplies, vases, etc.  While I’d love to get rid of some of it, we use all of it, so it seems that the best option would be to find something like this shelving unit, so I can make use of the vertical space.  These are awesome, because not only do they save on horizontal space, the shelves pull out for easy access to all of the items.

Those are some of the items that I have my eye on, and now I’m going to share a few items that we already have and love…

Tie Organizer

I bought a tie organizer for Brian (similar to this one), and it is a gamechanger!  This tie organizer keeps ties all in one place, and it rotates so it’s easy to get to the one that you want.

Pocket Organizers

We have these in almost every closet in the house – Brian’s closet, Jacob’s Closet, Olivia’s Closet, the coat closet, etc.  Brian uses his for shoes, but they’re also great for hats, gloves, mittens, scarves, socks, jewelry, stuffed animals… everything.  I cannot even tell you how much I love these pocket organizers!  They’re so affordable, too.

Pantry Door Organizer

Our pantry is very small, so we added a door organizer similar to this one very early on, and it has added so much functional space.  It’s a must have for small pantries!

Pantry Can Risers

We have this riser for our canned goods, and it’s awesome to be able to see everything we have now.  This one is also adjustable, so you can customize it to the size of your space.

Command Towel Bar

For years, I had no place to put our wet rag that we use in the kitchen.  I used to hang it over the faucet, but it never dried properly, and sometimes it would fall in the sink, and I always worried about it getting bacteria.  This Command towel bar solved that problem!  I hung it right inside the cabinet door under the sink, and now the rag has a clean, dry place to hang.  The best part about this is that the Command brand uses special technology, so these stick to the cabinets, but they come off easily and they don’t leave any residue behind.

Nail Polish Rack

Olivia has a ton of nail polish, so we bought this nail polish rack, and it holds every single bottle in an organized manner, and she can see every single color that she has.  These come in all sizes, so you can find one to fit your needs based on how many bottles you have.  These are also great for organizing essential oils and other beauty products.

Happy Monday, y'all!

  1. I'm especially intrigued by the leggings organizer and the clutch organizer. I am going through different areas of the house and asking: "would I buy this item today?" and that is really helping me let go of seasonal decor, clothing, and accessories.

    1. I know! I absolutely love it. I'm slowly trying to purchase organizers for the house that I know we'll keep and use forever. The only problem with the organizers is that it can get verrrry expensive if you let it!

    1. Yes, Olivia has soooo much hair stuff, too, so I feel you! And YES. I want that leggings organizer more than anything else right now. It's sitting in my cart. I just need to make the purchase.

  4. I think Gabbie has a leggings organizer hanger at school. I like the under the cabinet organizer, maybe for the bathroom! For my drawer organizing, I have a couple different sized boxes that I use. They aren't pretty but they keep things separated!

  5. Love this post Lindsay, it is filled with goodies! We must have been on the same wavelength today, I have a post on organizing too, haha, but it's kitchen specific and I've got that awesome under-the-sink organizer on mine too! I love how unique some of these are, like the leggings organizer (added to my Amazon cart!) and the tank top organizer, I wouldn't have thought there was such a thing. Those will be so handy!!

Hope your week is off to a wonderful start so far! :)

  6. Ooh.. off to check out the purse organizers and I am totally going to be looking for a bin to roll up my leggings now (I only have about 10 or so pairs and I love your basket idea since I have more shelf space than I do hanging space).

  7. These are great finds, especially the leggings and tank top hangers. I have always hung organizers/hooks etc on the back of closet doors. In this house, the doors are SO tall that it won't work. I used a lot of command hooks throughout the house because of this. They are so awesome, especially the large ones for hanging towels, clothes etc.
