Happy Friday, y’all! I hope that those of you who celebrate Christmas had a beautiful day, and to those of you who don’t, I hope you had a great week! I debated whether or not to post today since a lot of people probably aren’t reading blogs this week, but ultimately, I just decided to crank out a post since I had the time. Today, as always, I’m sharing some favorites… but this week, I’m sharing items that I’m considering purchasing in the new year…
O N E – TYMO Automatic
Curling Iron
Olivia is becoming more and more interested in beauty now that she’s getting older, and she’s especially interested in hair styling. I recently saw an ad for this TYMO curling iron and it looks like the perfect tool for tweens who are learning to style their hair. The curling iron is automatic, it has a 360-degree shield making it impossible to get burned, and it looks very easy to use. Her birthday is right around the corner, so I’m thinking that this would make a great gift.
T W O – Sprayway Glass
Cleaner
I recently started following @carissacleansitall on Instagram and her reels are the most satisfying things ever. While I love tidying and organizing, I haaaate actual house cleaning, but every time I watch one of her reels I’m inspired to get up and clean something. Her house must be immaculate with all the cleaning she does, and mine is anything but. Haha. In one of her recent reels, she was cleaning mirrors and it was completely streak free when she was done. I commented on her reel and asked her which glass cleaner she uses and she said she uses this Sprayway glass cleaner, so I’m adding it to my list for when my Windex runs out. The reviews are insanely good, and many people say that they use it not only on mirrors, but windows, stovetops, TVs, and even tires. It’s a foaming cleaner, so it’s not a traditional spray, and that alone has me intrigued.
T H R E E – Microfiber
Cloths
We have a set of microfiber cloths that I use for cleaning (they are the BEST!), but the set is small, and it seems they’re always dirty since Olivia has been into cleaning her bedroom so frequently. We could use a few more so I’m adding this pack to my list.
F O U R – Cardigan
One of the big influencers I follow posted an Instagram story of her wearing this sweater and I thought for sure it was from Anthropologie or one of the other higher end brands since it looked so nice, so I was pretty surprised when she posted the link and it was from Amazon. This cardigan comes in tons of different colors, and all the reviews are fantastic. Everyone says that it’s soft, the stitching is beautiful, and that it’s a very high-quality sweater. I usually get an Amazon gift card for Christmas, and I’m considering purchasing this if I do get one.
F I V E – Stainless Steel
Guasha
Yes, I know these have been around forever. My pelvic physical therapist used one around my lower spine years ago to break up all the fascia that had formed around an old childbirth injury, finally solving my horrific chronic pain after seven years… so I know these work! I’ve never owned one, but I’m considering purchasing this one to use on my face since I hold so much tension there. My neck tension has almost completely resolved since seeing my upper cervical chiropractor (seriously, he has been a total Godsend), but since I clench my teeth in my sleep, I do still carry a lot of tension in my face, jaw, and ears. I’m considering grabbing one of these to massage my jaw every night before bed with the hope that if I go to bed with relaxed muscles then maybe they’ll stay that way through the night. If you’ve ever used one and you have positive/negative feedback, I’d love to know!
