It’s my favorite day of the whole year, y’all!
Christmas Eve
has been my favorite since I was little, and I’m looking forward to cozying up
on the couch with Brian and the kids all morning to watch Christmas movies, bake
some cookies, attend Christmas Eve Mass to celebrate the birth of our Lord and
Savior, and then spend Christmas Eve night at my parents’ house… the same home I’ve
been spending Christmas Eve since 1989 when I was just seven years old.
We’ll toast with winter white cosmos over white chicken chili, we’ll watch the kids’ eyes light up as they open gifts from their Christmas wish lists, we’ll watch Home Alone by the glow of the Christmas tree and follow along with Santa on his journey using the NORAD Santa tracker, and we’ll brew a pot of coffee and eat too many desserts and stay up way too late, only jumping into bed and turning out the lights when we see Santa make his way to our state of Georgia.
It doesn’t get any better than this.
From our family to yours, Merry Christmas!! And Happy Holidays to those of you who celebrate in other ways. I’m grateful for all of you who stop by to visit each day. All are welcome in this space. <3
And the Word
became flesh and dwelt among us, full of grace and truth; we have beheld his
glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father.
