Walmart Try-Ons That Seriously Impressed Me

Remember how I posted about all of my fab Walmart.com finds a couple of Fridays ago?  Well, I ended up purchasing four of the items and I was so impressed with all of the pieces that I thought I’d try them on for you today.  Keep in mind every single one of these pieces is under $16 so my total for all four pieces was just $56... stop the madness!

Also?  Free shipping on orders totaling $35 or more.  #NeedISayMore

So anyway, here are my purchases in no specific order…

I could not love this top more!!  It’s soft, well made, and even more beautiful in person than it is on the website.  This top actually ships from a boutique even though you do order it directly from Walmart.  I typically wear a small in tops and this one fits true-to-size.  The small that I’m wearing in the picture is even long enough to wear with leggings, but just barely… I’m 5’5” so if you’re much taller than that it probably wouldn’t cover your hiney.

It’s only $13.99 and it comes in four different colors and patterns.

Y’all, this kimono is GORGEOUS!!!!  It also ships from a boutique even though you do order it directly from Walmart and it is definitely boutique quality.  I ordered the small and it fits perfectly.  It’s also long enough to wear with leggings!  Such a fun bonus that I didn’t realize when I bought it!  I can’t wait to pair it with different tanks and booties.  That would make a great winter date night outfit!

It’s only $13.99 and it comes in six different colors and patterns.

This top is an actual Walmart item, not a boutique item, but it also has the quality of a boutique item.  It is true to size (I ordered the small as always) and this is yet another piece that is long enough to wear with leggings.  I always worry about off-the-shoulder tops being uncomfortable and sliding around, but the elastic on this one is perfect.  Not too tight so it feels uncomfortable, but not too loose so it slides around.  I can’t wait to wear it with some black leggings to a Georgia game!!

It’s only $15.98.

This vest is another Walmart item, made by their new brand Time and Tru.  Y’all, Time and Tru can do no wrong in my book.  I have a few pieces of theirs now (tops and sandals) and I have been so surprised with the quality and how well they have all held up.  This vest is so cute, it’s snuggly, it has outside pockets for you to put your hands in, and it even has two inside pockets as well!  Such a fun surprise!

It’s only $12 and it comes in five different colors.  The one in arctic white is gorgeous.  If I didn’t already have a white vest I probably would have picked that one up, too!

I have to say, I’ve always dreaded trips to Walmart so I have never been a huge Walmart shopper (I’m typically a Target girl), but these last few years they have really, really stepped up their game in the fashion department.  If they continue knocking it out of the park like this, they are also going to continue taking over my closet.

Not something I ever thought I would say, so color me impressed.

Happy shopping!

  3. That floral top is so pretty! And I love the colors on that kimono! I can't remember if I said on your last post, but the Time and Tru also have a pullover like that 'wubby' sweater from nordstrom...for a fraction of the price! Like you, I usually prefer Target, but lately I have been impressed the few times I have gone into Walmart, too.

  11. I love that bell speeve top and it will be perfect for a UGA game with black! I ordered the knockoff lush tunic you linked and was disappointed, it had a stain on it! I washed it last night and we will see what happens.

  20. Just be careful with what you purchase if its not directly from Walmart.com but a 3rd party - super hard to try and return stuff! Going through it now. :(
