Five on Friday - Affordable Spring and Summer Fashion Finds

The weather is warming up around these parts, and we’re slowly starting to incorporate short-sleeves, sandals, and shorts into our wardrobes.  My little fam decided on a whim to head to the beach for spring break this year, so this week, I dove head-first into browsing some of the new spring and summer lines.  Here are a few of my favorite finds so far…

O N E – The Absolute Cutest Swimsuit

I am loving this sweet little swimsuit top and bottom from American Eagle, and it’s currently on super sale!  Seersucker is a staple here in the south – it never goes out of style – so I was thrilled to see that it’s going mainstream for summer 2021.  I ordered this swimsuit for myself in blue and white, but it also comes in red and white, black and white, or tan and white.  The seersucker paired with the ruffles make for a classic, feminine piece, and that’s something that will never go out of style.

T W O – Gold Star Arch Earring Lookalikes

These star arch earrings have been everywhere on blogs and social media lately, and I have loved them from the very first time I saw them a few months ago.  Unfortunately, Jessica Garvin, who is really popular on Instagram (and one of my favorite follows ever) shared them on Instagram before I was able to get my hands on some, and they sold out in gold.  In true Lindsay fashion, I set out to find a good dupe (preferably for a smaller price point), and Etsy didn’t disappoint.  I found these that are pretty much identical to the others, and the best part is, they are less than half of the cost of the ones that sold out.  I LOVE mine and will be rocking them all summer long!  They’ll be perfect for Christmas and New Year’s, too.

T H R E E – Slide Sandals

These slides from Target are super easy to pull on with any outfit, and they’re so comfortable!  The glass bead embellishments are so much fun, and they add such a fun pop to an otherwise plain shoe.  They also come in black and rose gold!

F O U R – Sleeveless Peplum Hem Dress

This dress from Target is casual and easy breezy, and the fluttery hem is so flattering.  It comes in tons of different colors, and the very best part is that it’s only $15!!  It would be so adorable with a denim jacket and the slides mentioned above!  Oh, and the star earrings.  ;o)  It runs large so size down.

F I V E – Girls Maxi Dress

Olivia’s very favorite dresses to wear are maxi dresses… she reaches for them more than anything else in her summer closet.  Our favorite place to find maxi dresses for girls is Target, and they didn’t disappoint with this year’s line.  This rainbow, ruffled maxi dress is so sweet, and the criss-cross straps in the back make it even more adorable.  This is likely going in her Easter basket and I’m certain she’s going to love it!

Friday Funnies

I'd like to know how many times I've had to say this to my kids.  Lol.

Yes!  Why though?!

I literally used to do this in 6th, 7th, and 8th grade.

Hahahaha
