Pink Lily Mauve Blouse + the Best Jean Shorts EVER

I don’t often shop at boutiques… Amazon and Target are more my speed because of the low prices.  I will splurge on certain classic pieces if I know I’ll be wearing them for years to come (Hunter Boots, Rothy’s Shoes, jeans, etc.), but for the most part, I try to avoid spending a lot on the trendy pieces since they tend to get less wear.

Pink Lily is one of my favorite online boutiques, and although I don’t shop there much, they do have some of the cutest, trendiest tops around… especially for summer!  This top was a birthday gift last month, and I just love it!  It’s feminine and really beautiful, and it comes in a bunch of different colors.

I’d say this one is true-to-size, but mine did shrink slightly in the wash, and it lost some of its length, so I wish I’d gone with a medium.  That said, the small still fits fine, and it’s a great basic top to throw on for pretty much anything.  While pretty basic overall, I think the ruffled sleeves add enough to take it up just a notch above basic, but not so much to make it overly trendy.  Does that make sense?  Haha.

You can shop the top here, and like I said, it comes in an array of beautiful summery colors plus a couple of patterns, too!

Also, I would be remiss if I didn’t mention these jean shorts… they are seriously the best ones ever!  I bought mine last spring and I’ve worn them countless times since then… they are perfection.  They fit beautifully, they have just the right amount of stretch to make them comfy, and they are the absolute perfect length – not too short and not too long… I do not love the “mom jean” look.

They are true-to-size, but you could probably size up or down one size and still have a good fit.  When I ordered mine last year, I wasn’t sure which size to order, so I grabbed a size 2 and a size 4, and they both fit so well that I just kept them both!  At just $17.99 each, why not?

When I shared these on Instagram a couple of weeks ago, many of you grabbed some, and several of you even messaged me to let me know how much you love them, too!  I LOVE helping y’all find what you’re looking for, and I always love hearing from you when I do!

These shorts will sell out (several sizes already are), so if you’re on the fence, I’d grab some now.  Last year, they were sold out in all sizes by late spring, and they remained out of stock for the rest of the summer.  I was SO excited to see that Target brought them back again this summer… I guess that just goes to show how good they really are!

Happy Wednesday, y’all!

  6. That top is beautiful. And which shorts fit you better? I got a 2 in both pairs and they are both good, but I can tell one fits just a tad better.
