What I Ordered from Amazon in April 2021

This was a heavy Amazon ordering month for several reasons… one, because I had birthday gift cards to spend, two, because I purchased many of the items for our school’s spring auction class basket on Amazon, and three, because there were several refills we needed at home.  It’s a lot of stuff!  Y’all ready to see?

Peplum Top

I’ve posted about this top on Instagram a couple of times, but it definitely needed to be mentioned here as well because it’s SO good.  This fluttery peplum top is beautiful in person and looks like something that would be found at a boutique rather than Amazon.  It’s cool and flowy, but thick enough that you don’t need to wear a tank under it, and it’s so comfortable.  The fit is SO flattering and it’s officially in my top five (probably my top three!!) of favorite Amazon fashion purchases of all-time.  The fit is true-to-size (I’m wearing a small) and I will definitely be purchasing another in a different color or pattern.  I cannot stress how much I love this top, y’all… it was gift card money well spent!  I’ll probably be dedicating a whole blog post to it soon so stay tuned.  ;o)

Bracelets Stack

How fun are these bracelets?!  All five of them are only $6.99 and I love that I’ll be able to mix and match them all summer long.  They’re surprisingly lightweight, too, which is an added bonus because I’m not a huge fan of big clunky bracelets.

Plain White Tanks

I wear white tanks under a lot of tops, and I only had one good one left, so I bought this two-pack of Amazon Basics and they didn’t disappoint.  They’re medium thickness, so not too heavy, but not see-through either, and they’re soft with just the right amount of stretch.  I highly recommend these if you’re in the market for some simple tanks.  They come in tons of colors.

Gold Bag

The strap on my current purse is starting to fray and it’s only a matter of time before it breaks, so I’m on the hunt for a new purse.  The purse I’ve been using has been wonderful, although, a little on the small side, so I’ve decided I want something a bit larger next time.  I’m verrrry picky about bags, so when this gold bag showed up in my recommendations, I purchased it immediately with my gift cards.  It fit all of my qualifications and it was only $20!  When it arrived, it was perfect in every way, but I realized quickly that it probably wasn’t going to hold up for as long as I’d like, so I returned it.  I’m not a high-end kind of gal when it comes to clothes and shoes and bags, but recently I’ve been thinking that I would like to splurge on a nicer bag that’s either fully leather or has leather accents so it’ll hold up well over the years.

Oils Bag

I was also in need of a bag to hold my oils on the go, and I thought this one was adorable.  It arrived, and it’s really nice and it has the little dividers for the individual oil bottles, but it doesn’t open as wide as I’d hoped, so I returned this one, too.  It’s so rare for me to have to return items from Amazon, so it was especially rare to have two returns in one month!

Bar Cart

I’m the room mom for fourth grade this year, so I was responsible for procuring items for the fourth grade spring auction item.  The other room mom and I decided on “It’s 5 o’clock Somewhere” for our theme, so I loaded up on bar cart essentials.  Our parents were so generous that I was able to buy a bar cart to go along with our other items, and I found this one on Amazon and I LOVE it.  It folds flat for easy storage, and I didn’t even have to put it together… it arrived all in one piece (aside from the casters that go on the bottom).  It is the absolute cutest thing and it would be the perfect cart to use for the back porch or by the pool… or shoot, even in the house as your main bar cart!  And did I mention that it was less than $70?!

Copper Mugs

These copper mugs were another purchase for the class auction item, and I chose these because they’re 100% genuine copper.  You have to be careful because many of the listings on Amazon are for mugs that are only copper coated, or only have copper accents, and then they don’t hold up well.  This set also comes with a copper shot glass and stirrer, and four copper straws, too, which I thought was such a nice touch!  They're currently 40% off, so go go go!

Letter Board with LIGHTS

Y’all, this letter board is amazing because IT HAS LIGHTS!!!!  This was another class auction purchase to decorate the bar cart and I truly just wanted to keep it for myself.  It comes with a stand and a gazillion letters plus premade words and emojis to put on it.  Seriously the best deal, and only $25.99!!

Happy Hour Cocktail Napkins

How cute are these cocktail napkins?  These were another purchase for the class auction basket.  I wouldn’t mind having them for our bar cart!

Cocktails Made Simple Recipe Book

This book was the final class auction basket purchase from Amazon and it’s so cute!  I love the cover and how it looks on the bar cart, and I love the way the book is organized.  There are lots of beautiful pictures and so many good recipes.  I wouldn’t mind having this either!  So basically, I just need to bid on my own class basket.  Lol.

Cheer’s Y’all Cocktail Napkins

I came across these while hunting for cocktail napkins for the school, and I had to buy them for myself.  I mean, come on, y’all!!!!  It’s not often you find stuff with the word y’all on it.  I had to have them.  They’ve gone up drastically in price since I purchased them, though, but there are 50 in the package which is actually comparable to all of the other less expensive packages that only have 20 in them.

Wire Basket

I bought this basket to put on my bookshelf in my office to store all of my empty oils bottles.  I love the way the oils bottles look, so I’ve been saving all of my empties to use for décor.  It’s amazing how many bottles of oils I’ve been through since I started oiling two years ago.

Rug

I’ve been wanting a rug for my office to go under the desk in the middle of the room to ground it… it has always looked like it’s just sitting on its own little lonely island.  Haha.  I haaaate rug shopping, though, because I pretty much think all rugs are ugly, so when I accidentally stumbled on this one, I had to have it immediately.  It is GORGEOUS and it’s excellent quality, so it wasn’t cheap, but as always, Amazon had the best prices for it.  I used the rest of my beloved birthday gift card money to buy it, and it was money well spent.  I now want the same rug for our bedroom to replace the one I bought in the Amazon Day sale a couple of years ago.  I wish I’d gone with a different style because the one we have keeps bunching up on my side of the bed and it’s basically the bane of my existence.  Haha.

DARE

I’ve seen several people mention this book recently and all of them said that it changed their lives, so I decided to give it a go, too.  I’m very open about the fact that I deal with anxiety on a daily basis, and while I have a handle on it most of the time nowadays, I still have really bad days where it feels unbearable.  I haven’t read this book yet, but I’ll report back when I do.  It’s highly rated on Amazon so I have high hopes.

Rug Pad

I bought this rug pad to go under my new circular rug in our foyer.  I cut it out in the shape of the circle and slid it right under.

Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel

I’ve been using this as my morning moisturizer under my makeup for the past few months and I love it.  It was time for a refill, and naturally, it’s least expensive on Amazon.

Neutrogena Rapid Wrinkle Repair Regenerating Cream

I also bought this to try because – wrinkles.  Ugh, I feel like I’ve aged exponentially in this last year of Covid, and it’s time to start looking at wrinkle creams.  I’ve never tried one before, so who knows how this will go.  I haven’t started using it yet, but I know several people who swear by it, so we’ll see how it goes.

Swim Trunks

Jacob was in need of a couple of swimsuits for summer, so I bought this pair and they are so cute!  The quality is great, the fit is great, and I highly recommend this brand.  They have lots of colors and patterns on Amazon.

Rash Guard

If you’re looking for a rash guard, Amazon has them in every color of the rainbow at a great price!  I bought this white one to go along with Jacob’s American flag trunks.  He refuses to be shirtless on the beach or in the pool, so he’ll probably always wear a rash guard.

Trident White Peppermint Gum

I get all of my gum on Amazon because it’s the best deal just like most other things!  I needed a refill, so here it is.

Smarty Pants Women’s Daily Multivitamins

I’ve been taking these vitamins for about a year now and I love them.  They are also least expensive on Amazon, and it was time for a refill!

Amazon Gift Cards

Teacher Appreciation week is this week, so I bought two of these adorable bouquet gift cards for two of our teachers.  Amazon has the best selection of decorative gift cards and they don’t charge extra for the special ones, so I highly recommend buying your gift cards directly from their website rather than picking one up at Walgreens.  This one is available for any gift card in the amount of $15 or more and it is DARLING, y’all.  It is perfect for teacher appreciation week and Mother’s Day or even a friend’s birthday.

And that’s everything!  Happy Monday!

  11. My therapist recommended the book Dare for me and I did find it interesting and I think there's a lot of great tips for dealing with anxiety, whether you have panic attack's for not. I hope it's a good fit for you. That bar cart is fantastic. I think it would be awesome for the pool over the summer. Might need to add that to my list.
