Home Tour Tuesday - Kids' Bathroom

Happy Tuesday, friends!

I’m back with another edition of home tour Tuesday and today I’m sharing… the kids’ bathroom.  Riveting, I know.

The bathroom is sandwiched between the kids’ two bedrooms, and it’s not terribly large, but it’s bigger than the bathroom that I had to share with my two brothers growing up, so I consider them to be pretty lucky.

The bathroom is decorated in a tropical theme, and fun fact, the shower curtain and décor is all from my bathroom in my old apartment that I shared with my best friend just out of college.  When Brian and I got married and I moved into his house, I boxed up and saved all of the decorations because they were still relatively new at the time, and when we built our home, I thought it was the perfect décor for a guest bath.  Fast forward a couple of years to when we had Jacob – the decorations are gender neutral, so we just decided to leave them up.  I guess eventually it will be time for a change, but for now, I like the throwback décor that’s in there currently… it reminds me of a time when I was single and independent without responsibilities.  Haha.

Ok, enough chit chat, let’s get to the tour…

Well, there are only a few more spaces to share in our home tour, but the remaining rooms are still works in progress.  Next Tuesday I will be taking a break from the home tour as there’s another fun link-up that I will be participating in, but in two weeks, I’m hoping to have my office in order and ready to share with you.  It’s my very favorite room in the entire house – it’s a space filled with all of the things that I love, and it’s a space that inspires me.  It’s basically my own slice of heaven here on earth.  And warning – it’s not your typical blogger’s office… while most bloggers have these all-white, pristine, minimalistic offices, mine is the exact opposite – hot pink walls, bold accessories, and anything but minimalistic… think wall-to-wall decorations…  I like to think of it as my own personal museum.  But anyway, I’m about to give it all away so I will stop there.  Until then, you can have a look at the past tours below.

  5. Love this bathroom. Everything in your home is meticulous! I love it!

I'd love for our kids to share their own bathroom. Our main bathroom, although I love it, is shared by the masses. It's the main bathroom for company, it's the kids' bathroom and it's mine and Jon's place to shower since we've yet to add a shower in our master bath. I blame the previous owners! What were they thinking to not put in a shower head? Haha!

I'm looking forward to your office reveal! Eek!!!

  6. As usual, so pretty! You have a great way of incorporating a theme, but still adding a flare of personalized things (kid's pictures, etc.) as well. Love it.
