Things Jacob Says - Volume 2

Life with littles…

They really come up with some humdingers.  Just when I think they can’t get any funnier, they get a little bit older and they prove me wrong.  And in case you’re wondering, five is a particularly hilarious age.  This kid comes up with some doozies without even batting an eye.

Day in and day out he never ceases to crack us up.  I only wish that I had been better about recording these conversations.  Here are a few that I actually took the time to write down so I wouldn’t forget, but this is just a drop in the bucket, friends.  A drop in the bucket…

(Before you read this one, I should mention that we have explained to Jacob that “hate” is a very strong word and that most of the time it’s not necessary to use… but apparently it’s very necessary to use when referring to certain flavors of lollipops…)

Jacob on butterscotch Dum Dums:

“I know I’m not supposed to say this, but I HATE this lollipop!”

Jacob on watching the movie Home Alone:

<Looks at me in horror, his eyes as wide as saucers>

“He’s jumping on the bed and eating popco-wen (popcorn)… that’s how you CHOKE!”

(He was dead serious and legit concerned for Kevin’s safety.)

January 6, 2017

Me – “I haven’t had a Reese’s peanut butter cup in years!”

Jacob – “I know that.”

Me – “How do you know that?”

Jacob – “Because I know everything in the whole world."

Well who am I to argue with that?
