Five on Friday - This is My Grown-Up Christmas List

*This post may contain affiliate links.

Happy Black Friday!  I hope you all enjoyed Thanksgiving with your loved ones yesterday!  Ours was spent eating lots of delicious food, hanging with all of our loved ones, and relaxing.  We also took a long walk on the river to burn off our lunch to get prepared for dinner.  Eating twice in one day is tough business sometimes.  ;o)

Today I’m sharing a few things on my Christmas list…

O N E – Clothes

Everyone has raved about this cardigan for so long but I just can’t bring myself to pay that much for a cardi.  I wouldn’t say no to it as a gift, though.  ;o)  It’ll keep me warm and snuggly as I’m hanging out around the house… because I’ll be doing that a lot now.  ;o)  I'd love it in silver, size small.

I’m also planning on doing lots of working out now that I’m a free woman AKA no longer chained to a desk for 40 hours a week, so I’m going to need a couple more pairs of workout pants… these are just darling!  Just look at those ties on the sides!  I'd love them in black, size medium.

Also, for working out, I'm in desperate need of some new sports bras.  I LOVE this one!  White, size small.  :o)

And I don't own any long-sleeve workout tops... not one.  This one is so cute... look at that back!  Bright white, size small.

I love me some buffalo plaid… this scarf is perfection.

I’m all about the fuzzy socks and sadly the few pairs that I have are starting to wear out.  I just love how cozy these look and I wouldn’t mind getting a pair in my stocking!

I'm also in need of some new brown boots because mine are literally falling apart.  I hate that mine are not going to be wearable much longer because they are my favorite boots ever, but these on Amazon look almost identical to them!!  I love them in tan and size 8 or 8.5... I always size up on boots!

T W O – Shoes

I am dying for some house slippers, y’all.  I have never owned a pair that I really love so I’m on the hunt for some that are better quality.  My feet are always cold… always.  Even in the dead of summer I have issues with cold feet, and when my feet are cold the rest of my body is also cold.  I’d love these in stone, in a size 8, especially now that I’ll be home a lot during the day!

Okay, so I do NOT need another pair of Hunters, but my goodness, I’m in L-O-V-E with these.  So many heart eyes!!

T H R E E – Things

Can you believe that B and I have never owned a coffee maker?  That’s right, we’ve been married for almost ten years and we’ve never once made coffee at home.  Now that I’m going to be staying at home (and broke – haha) I need to start making it at home instead of indulging in my fancy Starbucks treats.  Love this one.

I’ve already mentioned this on my gift guide for the ladies, but it’s worth mentioning again since it’s on my personal list as well.  I want one of these Pop Sockets SO BAD.

As if I need another mug!  But goodness gracious this one is just so cute!

F O U R – Books

I’m on book two of the Winter series by Elin Hilderbrand, and I already have the third ready to go, but I am still in need of Winter Solstice.

One of my goals for 2018 is to clean out every single inch of our house.  I’m going to purge purge purge until our house is decluttered and simplified.  I have a terrible time letting go of things, though, and I’ve heard this book is good to read if you’re like me and you’re too sentimental to let things go.

Now that I’m a SAHM, I’ll finally be able to do more slow cooker meals!  #AllThePraiseHands  Y’all know I love me some Shay, so her new cookbook is on my list!

I've heard that anyone who considers themselves to be a creative person should read this book... anyone read it yet?  It looks intriguing.

I've also seen this book making the rounds, and we all know how organization makes me happy!

F I V E – Gift Cards

Since I will no longer be working, we are adjusting our budget accordingly so gone will be the days of buying what we want when we want.  For Christmas this year it’ll be nice to stockpile a bunch of gift cards to spend throughout the year.

Old Navy – because the majority of my wardrobe is from there and they always have the best stuff!

Target – because #Target

Amazon – because they literally have everything.

Nordstrom – because every now and then I like to splurge on something special for myself.

Starbucks – because I won’t be able to afford it anymore.  Lol.

Well, I won’t be out shopping today, but we are going to get our Christmas tree and get the whole house decorated this weekend!  Also on deck?  Watching lots of football tomorrow and then church and our final Thanksgiving celebration on Sunday!  Enjoy the weekend, y’all!

*Linking up with A Liz Adventures and Carolina Charm for Five on Friday, A Little Bit of Everything for Friday Favorites,  September Farm and The Farmer's Wife for Oh Hey, Friday, Meet @ the Barre for Friday Favorites, and Cup of Tea for High Five for Friday.

  2. I have the book Unstuffed if you want me to mail it to you! You can have it!

I just got a pair of slippers just like that last week and I am obsessed with them. My feet are always cold too and these are so warm!

How have you never owned a coffee maker?! That's crazy! We had a Keurig but we switched to a regular old Mr. Coffee coffee pot last year and I like that better and it's WAY cheaper than using a Keuring and buying those k-cups! You can still get fun flavors of ground coffee!

  4. I love that sports bra!! And I seriously can't believe you guys didn't have a coffee maker! Years ago when we were faced with an unexpected downturn in keith's job that was the first thing we started doing.

  7. That is the Keurig I have and I absolutely love it! Now you have me wishing I added that organizing book to my list! Love Unstuffed. I read the majority of it on vacation and while it's nothing earth shattering, it does just make you think a little bit about your own situation and provide some good motivation. I should probably finish it sometime soon considering it's been MONTHS!
