HAPPY AMAZON PRIME DAY AND NSALE, Y’ALL!

Today I’m dedicating my post to two of the biggest sales of the whole year – AMAZON PRIME DAY and the NORDSTROM NSALE!!

AMAZON PRIME DAY

Today and tomorrow are huge days for Amazon Prime shoppers because Amazon will be drastically marking down prices on thousands of items... we're talking 30, 40, 50, and even 60% off of Amazon's already low prices!!!!

This means that today and tomorrow are perfect days to shop for any big ticket items you may need and it’s also a great time to start Christmas shopping.  I know that may sound crazy, but last year I purchased quite a few Christmas gifts on Prime Day and then by the time the Christmas season rolled around, I was thanking myself that I already had so many gifts stowed away.  It made the season so much easier and I was able to rest assured knowing that we got the very best prices on the items we purchased.

In order to enjoy the deeply discounted items on Prime Day, you must be an Amazon Prime Member.  B and I have been Prime members ever since they started offering it, like, 15ish years ago and it’s the best money we spend each year.  We save so much money on our everyday items (Amazon is almost always cheaper than Walmart for everything) plus frivolous items that it more than makes up for the cost of our Prime membership each year and saves us lots of money in the long-run.  You can sign up here if you haven’t already.

I'll be sharing lightening deals and all sorts of other great deals in my Instagram Stories today.  You can keep up with them on Instagram or you can just click here for the whole list!

Here are a few items that are excellent to shop for on Prime Day…

Instant Pot – the Instant Pot was the most purchased item in the United States on Prime Day last  year and they have it on major sale again today!  Everyone I know raves about their Instant Pot but we haven’t jumped on the trend just yet.

Air Fryer – loads of air fryers are on major sale this year as well since they’re now becoming so popular.

Blenders – there are lots of Prime Day options for blenders this year.  We use ours to mix up drinks and I love to make green smoothies as well!

Echo Dot – Amazon always puts their own products on super sale for Prime Day, so if you’re in the market for an Echo Dot or any other Amazon products, today will be the day you’ll find it the very cheapest all year!  Today the Amazon Fire TV Stick with Alexa Remote is only $14.99... that's marked down from $39.99 so you save 63%.  That's just crazy!

External Hard Drive – I use external hard drives for storing all of my pictures and videos (I keep one at my desk for easy access when I need it and I keep a duplicate in our safe in case of natural disaster or house fire or in case the other one crashes).  These are usually included in the sale as well.

Apple Watch – miscellaneous electronics are usually put on sale for Prime Day so this is a great time to purchase an Apple Watch or a FitBit.

23 and Me DNA Kitthese DNA kits are always popular items for the sale as well and you can snag one for HALF OFF today!

Dyson Vacuum – can I just give a shout out to the people at Dyson for making the best vacuum evarrrr?!  We’ve had ours for several years now and it’s safe to say I will never own another brand of vacuum again.  Dysons are that good.  They literally never loose suction just like the commercial says.  And they are also allergy and asthma certified so you can rest assured that they don’t put the allergens back into your living space as you’re vacuuming.  That is very important when you’re an asthma sufferer like I am.  Loads of them are on major sale today, so if you've been wanting one, you probably won't find lower prices than these.

Apple iPad - they have lots of different iPads marked waaaay down (like, 30-40% off!!), so now is the time to buy if you've been needing one.  This Apple iPod in Space Gray is a deal of the day and it's only $299.99 marked down from $429.00 so you save 30%!!  That is HUGE since Apple products are rarely on sale anywhere.

Here are a few items I’ll be stalking and hoping are on sale today…

Lego Star Destroyerthis is the main item that Jacob wants for his birthday next week, and by golly, B and I have decided to wait until Prime Day to purchase it just in case it goes on sale.  Normally I wouldn’t wait this late to purchase gifts, but since we get free two-day shipping with our Amazon Prime membership it’ll still get here in plenty of time!

Voltron t-shirt – another item Jacob has requested so I’ll be stalking Amazon for it.

Yeti Rambler Tumbler  I've wanted one of these for so long so if they happen to go on major sale I might snag one.

Rugs – B and I are need of a giant rug to go under our bed in our master bedroom, and I’ve had my eye on a few different ones.  It would be lovely if they’d put one on super sale!

Wet Brush  These are the only brushes I will use and mine is about to bite the dust so I'm in need of a new one.

Office Chair  I'm also in need of an office chair!

Scratch and Sketch Books  Buying more of these for the kids for Christmas!

Jojoba Oil  I've used all of my jojoba oil to make rollers, so I need a bottle to have on hand for replenishment.

And also books and clothing.

In addition to the items above, Amazon is also offering the following deals…

And don’t forget to follow my Amazon Storefront!  All of my favorite Amazon finds are organized in one place by category there, so head over and check it out!

NORDSTROM NSALE

In addition to Amazon Prime Day, I’m sure all of you have had no choice but to be somewhat tuned in to the NSale as all of the fashion bloggers are covering it to death.  Haha.  I don’t consider myself to be a fashion blogger, but I do love fashion and I do blog about it on occasion, so I thought I’d throw my two cents in the ring.

Some of the bloggers have been rounding up hundreds of items which is a little overwhelming, so instead of sharing 100 different finds spread over 10 different categories, I’m going to share my top ten picks from the sale.  Remember that lots of items sell out SUPER FAST so if there’s anything you’ve been thinking about getting, the sooner you get it, the better.  And rest assured, none of my picks will break the bank… y’all know I won’t pay $100 for a sweater!

Y’all ready?  Let’s go!

O N E – Leopard Camisole

This cami is at the top of my list because it is just so versatile and so chic!  You could dress it up with a pencil skirt and blazer for work, wear it with skinny jeans and heels for a date night, or rock it with jeans, a long cardigan, and boots for a casual cold weather look.  At just $25.90 this one is a steal, and it also comes in several other cute patterns and colors… the polka dot one is super cute, too.  Shout out to Emily for snagging one early for me since I’m not a Nordstrom card holder!  :o)

T W O – Twist Front Top

This top is my verrrry favorite long-sleeve top from the entire sale!  It’s a casual, everyday piece but the twist in the front gives it a little bit of extra interest.  Comes in lots of different colors and it’s $31.90 during the sale.

T H R E E – Basic Long Sleeve Tees Here and Here

I love a good basic long sleeve tee because they’re perfect for layering.  This Caslon Scoop-Neck Tee comes in lots of colors and patterns and it’s ONLY $15.90, y’all!!!!  LOAD UP!!!!  This Halogen Modal tee also comes in lots of different colors and patterns and it’s only $24.90.

I actually have this exact short-sleeve tee in black with white stripes that I got from the NSale a couple of years back and I still wear it all the time.  It comes in lots of patterns and colors and it’s another steal at just $15.90!!  And it has held up so well over the years!

F I V E – Leopard Cardigan

I adore a long cardi and I love leopard, so combining the two is just fabulous.  This cardi is a bit more expensive at $45.90 during the sale, but it’s a good investment piece as long cardigans and leopard appear to be in it for the long haul.

S I X – Long Cardigan

Everyone is constantly raving about the Barefoot Dreams Circle Cardigan, but it comes in at $76.90 on sale, and I’ve just never been able to bring myself to pay that much for a cardigan.  Instead, I’m digging these BP Longline Open Cardigans.  Comes in several different colors and at just $31.90 each, they’re a way more affordable option than the Barefoot Dreams cardi.

S E V E N – Zella Leggings (Live-In and Sunray)

I could sing the praises of my Zella leggings forever.  Yes, I’m a bargain shopper, but when it comes to leggings, comfort is key and these babies are worth every single penny.  I’ve owned one pair for the last two years and they are just now starting to show a little bit of wear… and I wear them and wash them constantly during the winter.  The only time I purchase them is when they’re on sale.  The live-in leggings come in three different colors and are $38.90 each during the sale.  I also love these Zella Sunray leggings but they’re a little more expensive at $42.90.

E I G H T – Cozy Heart Joggers

How freaking cute are these joggers?!  Y’all know I’m the queen of hearts (haha) so these are on my wish list.  They’re $25.90 during the sale and you can also snag the matching cozy top if you want to have the whole set.

I purchased a couple of camis similar to these in the sale a couple of years ago and they are still going strong after two years of use.  They are another perfect layering piece and they’re perfect to wear under sheer tops.  The best part about these is that they’re reversible… you can wear them as a v-neck or as a scoop neck.  At $20.90 that’s a pretty sweet deal!

T E N – Seamless Panties

Finally, my favorite panties of all time are included in the sale as well!  These are the most comfortable panties ever – they’re basically like a second skin – but the best part is that they are not visible under your clothes.  I can wear these under leggings and – no panty lines!  They’re super expensive (as far as underwear goes) so I only buy these during the sale.  You can get 3 pairs for $40 which, yes, is a lot for underwear, but I promise you they’re worth the money if you’re as picky about undies as I am.  Not to mention the ones I have are from two years ago and they’re still like new, so they last a long time!  If you wait until after the sale to purchase, they are $20 PER PAIR so load up while you can.  They come in bikini, hipster, and boy shorts so you can find the version that you love the best!

Now who’s ready to shop?!

And for those of you who came today expecting a weekly recap, it'll be up tomorrow!

  1. I hope that cami works out for you! I am kind of kicking myself for not grabbing one, since the cream I wanted sold out.

Even though I only have used my instant pot for hard boiled eggs, I still love it and hope at some point to actually use it for a real meal, haha. And the air fryers have me interested, but the last thing I need is another kitchen appliance! Hope you are able to find Jacob's gifts!

  11. I am still on the fence about the Instant Pot. It’s in my cart. I only got Zella leggings and boots from the NSale so hoping they work. Girl, you did your homework!

  12. I wish they marked the rugs down a little more. We need some outdoor rugs for our deck. I think I might need to pull the trigger on the Furry Friends scratch book for the kids.
