How I Use My Simplified Planner on a Daily Basis + Simplified Planner Launch Day!

Happy Wednesday, y’all!  Just wanted to pop in this morning and remind y’all that the new Simplified planners for 2022 are on sale today at 10 AM EST!

I received mine a couple of weeks ago, and I noticed that there was a date that overlapped from the 2021 planner to the 2022 planner, so I thought I’d use that extra page to do a mock-up of a typical day in our lives so you can see how I use mine from day to day.  I’ve had so many people ask me to share more of my lists, so here’s a great example of one.

My planner page looks like this at the beginning of the day:

-       The “My Day” section is used for Meetings, appointments, practices, games, and any other things that require us to be somewhere at a specific time as it contains a schedule from 6 AM – 9 PM.

-       The “To Do” section is used for all other tasks that don’t need to be done at a specific time.

I leave the planner open on my desk all day long so I can refer to it as needed.  Most of the time, I don’t take it with me when I leave the house, but occasionally I will if I think I’ll need it.  Throughout the day, I cross things off as I do them.  There is a check box to check things off, but I prefer to cross through completed tasks with a pink highlighter because it’s easier for me to see what has been done that way.

I use the “Notes” section to keep track of my water intake, vitamins intake, food that I eat, exercise, meditation, and quiet time each day, and I write those things down as I go.

By the end of the day, my planner looks like this:

Any tasks that aren’t done are moved to the next day, and then I start all over again with a fresh page the next day.  So simple, y’all!

And in case you’re new around here, here are some of the other posts I’ve written about this planner.

  5. Love this. I love the idea of marking through with a highlighter. I may try that. Like you said much easier to see what I have accomplished and what needs to be moved to the next day.

  6. Oh my gosh, I LOVE it!! I think I'm gonna pre-order one. I use planners all the time and need a new one for 2022. And I totally do the highlighter mark-off too... both in my personal planner and our homeschool one. It really does make it easier to see what's done for the day. Thanks for sharing a peek into yours.
