Hey, y’all!  Happy St. Patrick’s Day!  I hope you’re all wearing your green today!  ;o)  Our kiddos are out of school today (we’re Catholic, so the school takes this day very seriously – haha) so we’re hoping to find something fun to do.  We’re also attending a St. Paddy’s Day party at a friend’s house tonight, so we’ll all be donning our green in honor of the day.  I mean, I am part Irish, so I have to participate, right?

Today I’m sharing a few favorites from the week, and I have some really great stuff, so settle in and enjoy!

O N E – New Foundation Update

I mentioned recently that I had to change my foundation because they discontinued my Loreal Infallible Pro-Glo foundation, and as promised, I have an update for you on the new stuff.  I recently made the switch to the Loreal Infallible Pro-Matte foundation, and y’all, I’m so pleased BECAUSE I LOVE IT EVEN MORE!!!!

This foundation goes on so easily, it smooths out all imperfections, it feels clean, and it’s breathable.  The skin on my face has honestly never looked better… it gives it almost an airbrushed look.

Most importantly, my face is never shiny anymore… ever.  With the Pro-Glow formula, I did have to blot and reapply powder a couple of times per day to cut back on the shine, but this formula keeps your face matte all day… zero shine.

Typically, matte foundations have the tendency to make my skin look dull and cakey, and it settles in the fine lines and wrinkles, amplifying them, and that’s why I usually avoid them.  Well, I’m happy to report that this foundation doesn’t do that at all!!!!

I’m typically so disappointed when something I love is discontinued, but this time I’m really excited because it forced me to try something new that I like even better.

T W O – Daily Moisturizing Lotion with Sunscreen

I’ve been using this daily moisturizing lotion with sunscreen for years, and I don’t think I have ever mentioned it on the blog before.  Several years ago, I noticed that the skin on my neck and chest were aging way faster than the rest of my skin, and I realized it was because I was never moisturizing it, nor was I protecting it with sunscreen, even though those areas are exposed to the sun all the time.

I immediately started using this daily sunscreen on the area along with this Neck and Chest firming cream (that I have mentioned before), and I have noticed such a difference in that whole area.  The skin still does look a bit different than the skin on my face and other areas of my body, but it has improved dramatically since I started protecting it every day.

I love this daily lotion with sunscreen because it’s very light and not at all greasy, it soaks completely into my skin and doesn’t leave a film like most other sunscreens, and it’s (mostly) odorless.  You can detect a hint of sunscreen scent when you first apply it, but it’s not strong, and it wears off pretty quickly.

If you’re looking for a daily sunscreen/moisturizer, I highly recommend this one, and it’s soooo important to take care of the skin on your neck and chest, ladies!  I think it’s forgotten more often than not!  CeraVe products are truly the GOAT!  They're all my dermatologist recommends!

T H R E E – Mrs. Meyers Daisy Soap

I love Mrs. Meyers soaps because they’re cleaner than most other soaps.  I have always loved their seasonal options for fall and Christmas, but I’ve always had a hard time finding a spring and summer scent that I truly love.  Most of the spring and summer scents from Mrs. Meyers either don’t smell all that good to me, or they’re overpowering.

Well, I found this Daisy scent last summer, and I absolutely love it!  It smells like sunshine in a bottle and it’s perfect for the warm weather months.  It’s seasonal as well, so I thought I’d let y’all know that it’s finally back in stock since spring and summer are on the way!  Load up now while you can!

F O U R – Girls Shorts

These Cat & Jack girls shorts are Olivia’s absolute favorite to wear during the summer, but they sell out crazy fast each year, so I always start stalking the Target website in February to make sure that we don’t miss out.

Well, they’re back again this year, and they’re fully stocked in all colors as I type this, so if you’re looking for some excellent play shorts for girls, GO GO GO before they’re gone!  This year, they come in black, rainbow tie-dye, grey, pale green, navy blue, bubblegum pink, sky blue, and purple.

They’re comfy, they’re easy to pull on and off, they’re the perfect length, they have a drawstring so they can be adjusted, and this year they have pockets!!!!  These are the absolute perfect shorts for girls for summertime, and they’re only $6 each so get them while you can!

F I V E – Favorite Workout Tanks

Now that it’s warming up, I’ve been wearing my favorite workout tanks on repeat, and I cannot sing their praises enough!  These tanks are thick and supportive, they are padded so you don’t have to wear a sports bra with them, they keep me nice and cool, and they make me feel like a million bucks!  There’s just something about looking nice while you’re working out that makes me work out even harder… it’s like a little confidence booster, I suppose.  ;o)

And I know I’ve mentioned these before, but I thought I’d mention them again because they are that good!  Size up one size, though, because they run a bit small in my opinion.  I typically wear smalls, but I wear a medium in these.

  1. I finished up using Mrs. Meyer's snowdrop (love it!, in fact I put it in another container to keep using in my bathroom), now I am using orange clove, but now I can't wait to try Daisy. I agree about some of their scents not being my cup of tea. I love the fall ones, peppermint, and snowdrop the most. I will look for Daisy. I have pretty much quit the Bath and Body ones looking for a better option.

  4. LOLing at the meme about beef and the farmer's market--yes yes yes! And I didn't know Mrs. Meyer's made a Daisy scented soap! We use the lavender in our bathrooms, but I'm going to look for the daisy one next time I replace! Happy Friday!

  5. Happy St. Patrick's Day, Lindsay! I need to try that soap. I've never tried the brand, but have heard it's more of a clean brand which is awesome, and so happy you like that particular scent!

Hope you have a wonderful weekend! :)
