Happy Friday, y’all, and happy Taylor Swift new album day!!!!  EEK!

It’s been forever since I’ve done a favorites post, so I have been saving up some ideas for ya… lots of goodness today!

O N E – Outdoor Rugs

Last weekend, we cleaned off our back porch and we threw out the rugs and throw pillows that we’ve had for the last nine years.  They were all frayed, stained, and faded, so it was long overdue.  I shopped around a little bit later that day to find some replacements, and I came across these rugs.  I LOVE the stripes, and I love how bold they are, but I also love the fact that they’re fairly neutral with the charcoal and off-white colors.  They arrived Wednesday, and I can’t wait to get them out there on the porch this weekend!  I’ll be sure to share the porch refresh as soon as it’s done!  Also, these are currently 59% off!!!!

T W O – Outdoor Throw Pillows

To go alongside the rugs, I wanted a pop of color to offset the neutral charcoal and off-white colors, and I had a very specific shade of blue in my head that I wanted to find.  After searching several websites, I finally came across these and they are the exact shade I was searching for – French blue.  I had hoped to find 18x18 pillows, and these are only 16x16, so I’m not sure if I’ll end up liking them size-wise… I’ll be testing them out this weekend as well.  The pillows have great reviews on Amazon, though, as far as quality and durability go, so I have high hopes!  And they come in many colors and patterns in case you’re in the market for some new ones, too.  You can’t beat the price either!

T H R E E – Swimsuit

I went years without buying any new swimsuits, so for the last three or four years, I’ve been buying a new one to replace all of my old ones.  My purchase for this year is this one from Target, and I love every single thing about it!  The quality is amazing, it’s super comfortable, and the top and bottoms both feel super secure when wearing them… don’t have to worry about any wardrobe malfunctions with this one!  Also, the top comes with straps, which I will be wearing with mine.  I do have to say, though, the top stays up amazingly well even without the straps.  The color is beautiful in person, too.  The best part is that I happened to browse when swimwear was on sale for 30% off during Target Circle week, so I got it for such a steal!  It also comes in blue, and that one is beautiful, too.

F O U R – Flower Pool Slides

These pool slides are SO cute, and y’all, they’re made out of a soft plastic, so you don’t have to worry about the water and sand ruining them!  They’re described as “jelly” shoes on the website and that made me laugh because I was such a sucker for jelly shoes back in the 80’s when they were popular!  I loved mine!  But my Momma always reminds me that they used to give me shin splints in the middle of the night, and I would wake up crying.  Haha.

Anyway, these slides are great quality, they will withstand any kind of weather and terrain since they’re plastic, and they’re actually comfortable.  They also come in black and light pink, too, and they’d be such a cute addition to any pool or beach outfit.

F I V E – Inflatable Dome Fort

I can’t remember if I’ve already mentioned this inflatable fort here on the blog or not – I’m pretty sure I have – but I’m going to mention it again because it has been a favorite in our house for months now.  My MIL and step-FIL gave this to Olivia for Christmas, and she uses it all the time.

This fort connects to a box fan with Velcro, and it inflates in less than 30 seconds.  It’s HUGE – 78.5 x 50.75 – so big that our entire family can sit in there together, so it makes for a really cool play area.  The best part about this thing?  It folds up teeny tiny… it’s made from this thin, silky fabric, and it comes with a little storage tote, and it literally takes seconds to deflate it and shove it in the tiny little tote.  I can literally put it in my purse because it stores so small.

Anyway, Olivia freaking LOVES this thing, and I love it, too, because she can have her fun fort, but we don’t have to leave it up for days and weeks on end.  She used to make these elaborate forts that she wouldn’t want to take down because they required so much time and effort to build, but now with this, she can literally inflate it within 30 seconds, and deflate it and put it away in 30 seconds.  It’s really awesome, y’all.

This would make a great gift for pretty much kid.  I think I’m going to buy it for my niece for her birthday.

  1. OH yes I was a huge fan of jelly shoes too! Those and those hard wooden dr. scholls are probably the only shoes I wore all summer during childhood. I almost feel bad for my feet now. All those memes are spot on... I'm battling some allergies right now and for whatever reason I am doing awful with remembering to take my allergy medicine this spring.

    1. We probably all ruined our feet back in the day with the shoes we wore. Haha. And yes, allergy season has been neverending here this year. I guess it usually is, though.

    1. YES. It is the easiest thing to pop up and take down, and it takes up the tiniest amount of space when it's stored.
