Confessions {9.21.2016}

Sheesh, this week has been really, really busy y’all!  Unlike last week, this one has flown by and there just hasn’t been enough time in the day to get everything done.  I can’t believe it’s already Thursday!  Shoot, I barely have time to work on this post, so let’s get it started!

I confess…

… that I’m embarrassingly behind on blog emails.  I have 100+ emails from this week that I haven’t yet responded to, but I promise that I’m not ignoring you!  Your comments and emails truly mean the world to me, and I will get to each and every single one hopefully by the end of this week.  This week has totally kicked my hiney so thank you for being patient with me.  :o)  And keep ‘em coming!

… that I’ve been so busy that I went a couple of days without even posting anything on Instagram.  I mean, the horror!!

… that I want to quit my job so I can have more time to do the things that actually matter in life.  Oh wait, have I already mentioned that in a confessions post?

… that in addition to not having enough time this week and getting my hiney kicked by my never-ending to do list, I have also gotten my hiney kicked emotionally.  Nothing major and nothing terrible personally, but there have been several things this week that have just been mentally and emotionally exhausting.

… that needless to say, I’ve been sleeping like a baby this week.  And by sleeping like a baby I mean sleeping like a dead person.  #OutCold

… that even though I have a million things to do, I neglected it all – my to do list, blog emails, and household chores – to sit and watch This Is Us Tuesday night.  And I freaking loved it.  #SorryNotSorry

… that I may have also neglected it all for a couple of episodes of Friday Night Lights, too.  Because, Coach Taylor.  #AndYesIStillLoveHimMoreThanTimRiggins

… that speaking of household chores, I haven’t done one in about six weeks… aside from dishes and tidying up, that is.  Cleaning a toilet?  #AintNobodyGotTimeFoDat  #PleaseDontDropByUnexpectedly

… that I’m sick and tired – like super sick and tired – of this wretched weather we’re having.  This has been the hottest, most humid summer, and there is still no end in sight… we’re facing low to mid-nineties every single day for the entire ten-day forecast.  Wake up, weather, it’s almost October!!!!  #HowsAGirlSupposedToAccomplishThingsOnAFallBucketListInShortsAndTankTops

… that I’m running out of clothing combinations for warm weather and my challenge to not wear an exact same combination of clothes for an entire year is getting extremely tough.  I’m starting to have anxiety over having to choose an outfit each morning.  #NotReallyButItIsGettingSuperHardToRememberEverythingIveWorn #WhenInDoubtMakeASpreadsheet

… that I’m out of time so this post is over!

Peace out!

  1. We are still having humid weather, too. Enough already! We are going apple picking on Sunday & it is supposed to be almost 80! That's not exactly boots & jacket weather like I was hoping!

  2. Ugh, I totally feel you on the weather. It's officially fall and it's still so hot. I just want to enjoy fall. I watched This Is Us too and LOVED it!! Such a great show. I already have it set to record the series just in case.

  4. I feel you on the tough week and the weather! It's just so hot here still - where is the crisp fall that we got a tiny glimpse of earlier this month?! I LOVED This is Us, too. The first episode already had me crying! Hope you are able to relax and enjoy this weekend!

  5. I'm over our heat and it's nothing like what you have so I'm sure you are WAY over it!

We just watched This is Us last night and it was so so good!! I can't wait for more!

  6. Hang in there, girlfriend! Life gets crazy sometimes, doesn't it?! My entire summer was crazy and I felt as though I was a mess! The only thing you can't control is the weather, but you CAN control your cute outfits!! So, yay for that! Also, the toilets can wait! That's my motto. Haha! You've got this, girlfriend!

  7. You hashtags :) Um, and yes, I agree with you 100% on the weather, it needs to cool down! We went to the pumpkin patch the other day and it was like 95 degrees outside and I was sweating profusely. It's not supposed to be hot when you go to the pumpkin patch. Get it together, Weather! Also, cleaning? haha. You should never stop by my house unexpectedly then. I rarely do any real chores. Sure I keep the kitchen clean and the house picked up, for the most part, I try to stay on top of the laundry [said by the one who was surrounded by four overflowing baskets of clothes waiting to be folded last night - and the one with a hubby whose only clean socks and undies were in the dryer... whoops]. But you know, I try. And you do too. And that's all that matters. Keep on keeping on!

  8. So sorry you've had a hard week! That is never fun. Although since you are running out of fall combos doesn't that mean you need to purchase a few new outfits...or at least some new jewelry and scarves or something?!?! 😍 sounds like the only reasonable option to me!

  9. I always feel the same way about work haha. I'm thankful to have a great job at a great company, but every single day I wish I could quit and do something I am truly passionate about. But, until I find a day job trying makeup, accounting it is!

    1. That is exactly how I feel! Exactly! I'm very fortunate to have my job, but it sure would be nice to be doing something that I love!

  10. Peace out, lol. So crazy that one week CRAWLS by and the next week flies. I am totally with you there. Fall weather better get her PRONTO or this girl is going to flip her lid. Although I did score some cute shorts on clearance last night so the thought of being able to wear them is exciting... if it has to be warm. Maybe you should go browse some clearance racks to add a few new pieces to help a sister out in the combo department. I am going to laugh when things get REALLY random for you like green shorts and red shirts in the fall just to get a new combo in :P. I hope this weekend brings you some rest and some time to catch up!

  11. I have been so behind on my blogging too, this never happens. I really need to get my butt back in gear. And I'm also SO over this weather...I need some cooler weather STAT! Hope things get better for you, Lindsay.

  12. haha, loving all of your hashtags, and the emails, oh goodness, I agree, too many to reply to, I always feel bad! And the end of last week and beginning of this week was super mentally challenging, so I hear ya on that. Yay for almost being the weekend!

  13. I’m behind on blog emails too! Slowly creeping up to 100, like you. And I am over this hot and humid weather. So over it!

  14. The emails are so hard to keep up with and so easy to get behind on!! It always overwhelms me!

  15. Super jealous you've been sleeping like a baby! I always feel so overwhelmed when my inbox piles up, just chip away at it here and there and you'll feel so much better. Sending lots of *hugs* <3

  16. I hope everything gets less crazy soon. I read that some other countries *force* people to take so many paid vacation days per month. I hate America's idea of working to death or else you are lazy.

  17. I hope things calm down a bit for you. Sounds like life is getting crazy and hectic lately. I know that feeling all too well. I wish I was sleeping well, but jet lag has its hold on me.
