Five on Friday - Spider Web Waffle Iron, Comfy Sneaks, Car Jump Starter & Tire Inflator, and More

Hey, everybody!  Happy Friday!  I hope you all enjoyed your week!  Today, as always, I’m sharing a few favorites… a fun fall item, a new favorite top, some comfy and very affordable tennis shoes, the kids’ and my current favorite snack, and an item that every household should have on hand!

O N E – Spider Web Waffle Iron

I picked up this waffle iron from Target a couple of weeks ago, and we used it for the first time last weekend.  It makes mini waffles (around the same size as Eggos), and they turn out soooo cute!  It’s easy to use, it’s a fun way to make your kids’ breakfast a bit more festive, and it’s only $9.99!  We have the pumpkin waffle iron, too, and the kids got a kick out of their spider web and pumpkin waffles.  We make homemade waffles at least once a week year-round, so we’ll definitely get our money’s worth over the years.

T W O – New Top Perfect for Fall

I received a $15 gift card from The Red Cross for donating blood last month, and I put it to good use and bought this adorable new top.  This top is lightweight, so it’s perfect for this time of year when it’s chilly, but not cold, it’s soooo soft, and the color is beautiful… although, it does come in many other color selections if you don’t love this one.  It is a little bit on the thin side, so I’d recommend wearing a tank underneath, but you could probably get away with not wearing one under it if you didn’t want to.  It was on a lightning deal when I got it, so I barely had to pay anything out of pocket, and I just love it!  It’s easy and comfortable to throw on, but it also looks a little fancier than a t-shirt.  It also has a 25% off coupon that you can clip right now, too.

T H R E E – Plain White Sneaks

I’ve been in the market for some plain white tennis shoes for a while.  I love my Converse Shorelines, but I can’t wear those with socks, so I’ve been looking for some that I can wear with socks on chillier days.  I saw Caitlin from Southern Curls and Pearls share these last week, and I had to have them.  They’re super cute – look at the gold panel on the back!  They’re super comfy because they have a layer of memory foam in the soles.  And the very best part is… they’re only $14.97!

F O U R – Luna Bars

I may have shared these here on the blog before, but it’s probably been a while, and I wanted to mention them again because our kiddos have been obsessing over them lately.  They’re gluten free and non-GMO, and they’re made with organic ingredients.  They have way less sugar than most of the other bars our kids like, and they have EIGHT GRAMS OF PROTEIN.  This is soooo important for my kids who are very picky eaters, especially Olivia, who doesn’t love meat.  We’ve only tried the Chocolate Peppermint Stick flavor so far, and we may never stray from this flavor because it’s so good.  They taste like Christmas.

F I V E – Car Jump Starter/Tire Inflator

Brian purchased this combo car jump starter/air compressor last year and has been really great to have on hand.  We take ours with us when we travel, so that way if we ever have a dead battery or low tire pressure, we can just whip this thing out and handle it ourselves rather than calling for assistance.

Last week, my tire pressure was low, and B was able to fill all of my tires right away in our own garage… soooo much better than having to drive around and find a gas station with a working air compressor and pay for air.  Why oh why are the air compressors at gas stations always broken?!

Anyway, I wanted to share this with all of you because it’s a product that we love and take everywhere with us.  Unfortunately, our exact model isn’t available right now, but this one here is very similar and it has great reviews, too.

  1. That little waffle maker is so cute. I remember they had something like that for Christmas that sold out super quick last year. What a great top for fall! We have one of those car starters and it comes in handy. Hope you have a good weekend!

  2. What kind of waffle mix do you use in the waffle maker? I have a heart shaped one and I tried making an egg in it but the egg was too big and it overflowed! I might need those sneakers!

  6. Ooh, thanks for sharing about the tire inflator! I haaate having to fill my tires. It's so stressful just finding a working air pump, like you said! And lol at that comments section meme--so annoying and so true!
