Happy Friday, y’all!  Are you ready for some favorites?  I have some good ones this week!

O N E – Gold Apple Watch Band

Tis the season for all things gold and sparkly, and I’ve been wearing my gold Apple Watch band on repeat for the last few weeks.  It’s my absolute favorite one that I own, and it goes with everything!

The exact one that I purchased a couple of years ago is no longer available, but this one is almost identical, and it has great reviews.  Only $6.99, too!  It’s such an easy, inexpensive way to add a festive pop to your outfits this time of year!

T W O – This Top… Again

Yep, here it is again, y’all!  You’ve probably already seen my Reel on Instagram, and you may have seen it in my Amazon purchases post earlier this week, but this top is just so dang good that I’m sharing it again!  I mean, I already dedicated an entire post to it last week, but it’s definitely been a favorite from the past week.  I’ve already worn it twice and I received so many compliments on it… it makes me feel like a million bucks!

It went on a lightning deal last week, so I snagged it in a few other colors, and I’m going to try them all on and decide which one or two more to keep.  It is just so good, y’all, and I think the light pink shade will be perfect for spring!!

T H R E E – Black Heels

We’re attending a ball in January, and this year it’s cocktail attire rather than black tie, so I’m likely going to wear a short black dress.  The black heels I typically wear are semi-comfortable, but they’re definitely not suitable for dancing, so I was in need of some black heels that are dressy, stylish, comfortable, and won’t break the bank.  Enter these from Target… they check all of the boxes and the heel is just the perfect height for dancing!  I already have them in nude, so I was excited to see that they have them in black, too!

F O U R – New Eyeshadow Palette

I had a very favorite eyeshadow palette years ago, and it was discontinued.  For years, I’ve searched high and low to find a budget-friendly version similar to my old one, and I just haven’t been able to find anything.  For the last few years, I’ve been wearing this palette and while it’s good, it just isn’t on the same level as my old one.

Well, I found this palette at Target the other day, and I am obsessed!  It’s so similar to my old eyeshadow palette, and the colors are absolute perfection if you’re trying to achieve the smoky eye look or even a lighter everyday shadow.

For my everyday look, I’ve been sweeping a light layer of the shade on the right across my lower lid, and then I’ve been sweeping a layer of the shade on the left just under my brown bone and down to the inside of my eye to highlight my outer eye, and then I’ve been sweeping a thin layer of it over the other shade, too, to lighten it up just a bit, and I love it soooo much!  It’s the perfect combo for my eye color and skin tone.  Then, for a night out, I’ll probably do the same thing using the second and third colors… I can’t wait to experiment!

I’m not a huge makeup/beauty person (even though I do wear makeup every day) so I only use drugstore products… so you know this is a keeper if I’m posting about it!  Haha.

F I V E – Verity by Colleen Hoover

Verity.  Ohhhh my word, y’all, where to even begin?  I don’t typically read thrillers or suspense novels too much, but I’d heard soooo many great things about this one that I couldn’t not read it.  Y’all!!!!  This book was RIVETING.  I could not put it down.  I snuck in reading time every single spare second that I had – while I was in the car line, at the kids’ music lessons, before bed, while I was eating lunch, and whenever else I could.

That said, it creeped me out to no end.  It was incredibly disturbing and very graphic, but I just could not stop reading.  And then the ending – OMGGGG!  Y’all, I know I’m late to the game because most people read this last year, but if you’re one of the few who haven’t, definitely jump on this one if you want a page-turner.

  2. I'm pretty sure Gabbie has those or very similar shoes! Verity was a favorite in the year I read it - multiple years ago - and it's my favorite of her books. It's the only one that is very different from the others!

  3. I am glad that you loved Verity. I loved it too. I almost read it again. But I am reading the sequel Maybe Now (to Maybe Someday) by Hoover. I love that top and want it in black. Is it a bodysuit?
