What I Ordered from Amazon in November 2022

Hey y’all, happy Monday!  We have the busiest week on tap, and I’m so excited (and a little overwhelmed) for all of the fun to come!  But first, some Amazon purchases that I made in November…

Sheer Sleeve Top

I love this top so much I dedicated an entire blog post to it plus an Instagram Reel!!  Y’all, this top is just perfection!  It’s fitted through the bodice, and it has puffy sheer sleeves adorned with polka dots for a chic, classy look.  The quality is good, the fabric is average thickness (not too thick and not too thing), and the bodice is super soft.  The sleeves are comfortable and not itchy at all to me (although, if you have sensitive skin, I could see where they could possibly be a bit itchy on the seams at the wrists?).  It can be worn with a regular bra (no strapless bra required), and it’s true-to-size.  I’m actually wearing an XS, but I think the small would have worked just fine, too.  It’s soooo versatile and it comes in 13 colors, so there’s something for everyone!

Sheer Sleeve Top

I love it so much that I bought it in several other colors when it went on a lightning deal, and I’m going to try them all on and decide which one to keep.  I think I’m leaning towards this one

Black Cocktail Dress

I’ve been on the hunt for a cocktail dress for the ball that we attend every year (this year’s is going to be cocktail attire rather than black tie), and I saw that this one was on sale for only $11.99, so I grabbed one.  Y’all, this dress is STUNNING.  The quality is good, and the fabric is velvety soft, but… the cutout was, unfortunately, a little awkward.  Had it been an inch longer on the top of the cutout it would have worked perfectly, but unfortunately, the opening was just a little too big, and I wouldn’t have been able to wear it with a bra.  And without a bra, I’m afraid I would have possibly fallen out of it.  Lol.  I probably could have made it work if I was going to be sitting still all night, but there will be dancing, and that would not bode well in this dress.  I wanted it to work so, SO badly, though.  It was seriously gorgeous.

Winter Headband

I bought this winter headband for New York City.  I’m not a huge toboggan fan, so I wanted something that didn’t cover my whole head.  I also wanted something that wasn’t just knitted, though, because sometimes the wind still gets through the holes.  This one is fleece lined under the knitted outside, so it’s ultra-warm, and the fit is great!  It comes in tons of colors, too.

Workout Headbands

I have tons of baby hairs (new growth) around the front of my face, and they drive me nuts sometimes when I work out, so I bought this pack of three workout headbands to try.  They’re stretchy, comfy, they hold the baby hairs back, and they stay in place.  They’d do a great job of keeping sweat out of your eyes, too, if that’s a problem.

TSA-Approved Toiletry Bag

It’s been so long since I’ve flown that I couldn’t find all of the pieces to my old toiletry kit, so I bought this new one to take on our trip to New York City.  There are tons of different ones on Amazon, but I liked this one the best because of the combination of bottles.  This set has 4 bottles, 4 jars, 2 spray bottles, 2 scoopers, 1 funnel, 1 clean brush, 1 page of labels, and the bag.  It’s TSA-approved and it has fantastic reviews, so I’m hoping it’ll be exactly what I need.

Entryway Christmas Trees

I bought two of these entryway trees to flank our front door, and they are perfect.  The price of artificial trees has increased crazily these last few years, and these had the best price of any that I could find at Michaels, Target, Walmart, or any of the other standard retailers.  They’re great quality, they’re tall (4-feet), and they’re full, so they were a great deal for the price.  They look beautiful on our front porch, and I highly recommend them if you’re looking for some!

Snowflake Tattoo Set

I’m chairing a fundraiser for the school, and we’re going to have a face-painting/temporary tattoo station, so I bought three packs of these snowflake temporary tattoos for the fundraiser.  They were a great deal and there are a ton of them!

Red Face Paint

The theme for the fundraiser is a reindeer run, so we’ll have a station where kids can get Rudolph noses painted on their faces, so I bought three tubs of this face paint for the face paint station.

Kids Nightgown and Matching Doll Nightgown Set

Olivia loves nothing more than to twin with her favorite stuffy, Sheepie, and for Christmas, she asked for another matching PJ set.  I’ve gotten them from Carter’s in the past, but they didn’t have any this year, so I turned to Amazon, of course.  This set is darling, and I know Olivia will love the fabric and fit of this nightgown because she already has one that’s similar for Halloween.  The fabric is verrrry soft, and the fit is loose, which she also likes.  I will say that the fabric is very thin, so if you’re looking for something thick, this one will not be for you, but Olivia likes her sleepwear to be thin and soft and not binding at all, so I know she’ll love this one.  It comes in lots of different designs, too.

LOL Surprise Advent Calendar

We get the kids a fun Advent calendar every year, and this year, we opted for this LOL Surprise one for Olivia.  She was so excited about it, and she is enjoying it so far.  It comes with a doll on the first day, and then throughout the month, you get clothes and accessories to dress your doll.  So fun!

Friends, Lovers, and the Big Terrible Thing by Matthew Perry

I bought Matthew Perry’s book this month as well, and it was good, but really hard reading about everything he’s been through due to his addiction.  If you’re a fan of his or of Friends in general, then you’ll appreciate this book.

Dentastix

Maui’s favorite treat needed a refill, so I bought them on Amazon as always because they have the best price.  These Dentastix help keep tartar at bay, and they help freshen breath which she needs now that she’s older.

Women’s Dress Pants

Our church’s outreach center does an angel tree every year where we can purchase things for people in need, and this year, they had prepared a wish list on Amazon which was very helpful… it made shopping so easy!  I bought this pair of women’s dress pants as part of our contribution.

Men’s Sweatpants

This was another purchase for our angel tree at church, and then we also bought a few games for kiddos, too.

And that’s it, y’all!  Happy Monday!

  9. I'm sorry that dress didn't work out. I am having issues with Autumn's Christmas dress... the back is a tad lower than I thought it'd be and I think she may just have to wear a velvet cardigan over it or something!! I really want to read Matthew Perry's book!
