New Year’s Eve Dessert Board

I took one of my favorite things, a charcuterie board, and put a fun twist on it to create something super fun and yummy that is perfect for New Year’s Eve!  Instead of the traditional meats and cheeses and crackers and fruits, I decked out my board with loads of different sweets to create the perfect late-night dessert snacking board.

I went with a black and white (and brown) theme since those are the colors that are traditionally associated with New Year’s Eve, and I love how it turned out!

Use It

Wood serving board or platter (I have this one)

Buy It

Graham crackers

Hershey’s chocolate bars

Hershey’s Hugs

White chocolate covered pretzels

Marshmallows

Nilla Wafers

Chocolate covered pretzel rods

Dark Chocolate Caramel Cookie Caramel Corn (from Target… so gooood)

White Fudge Covered Oreos

Mini Chocolate Chip Cookies (ours are from Trader Joe’s)

White Powdered Donuts

Blackberries (to get something healthy on there ;o) and compliment the desserts)

Make It

1.    Arrange all items on a serving board or platter.

2.    Decorate with festive accessories.

I know, I know, I took way too many pictures, but how gorgeous is that?

There are so many more sweets you could add, too… black, brown, and white M&Ms, dark chocolate covered pretzels, Teddy Grahams (chocolate or graham), Fudge Stripes Cookies, mini chocolate donuts, brownies, and macarons, and you could even include some kind of cool whip/yogurt/pudding dip to use with the graham crackers and Nilla Wafers.  You can also, of course, change the colors of the sweets to suit any theme.

We’ll be staying home for New Year’s Eve, just the four of us, so I’ll probably make one of these on a smaller scale for us to munch on throughout the evening as one last hurrah before we get our healthy eating back on track.  The kids will go crazy!

And all of these sweets pair perfectly with champagne, so you can grab a glass (or two!) just before midnight and ring in the new year in the sweetest way possible!

Cheers, y’all!
