Happy Thanksgiving! 25 Reasons to be Thankful…

Thanksgiving is a time to reflect on all of the things for which we are grateful, and while I try to do that throughout the rest of the year as well, I do tend to focus more on it in November.

Last year, I made a list of the things I was grateful for each day in November, and I decided to do that again this year.  I’m always the most grateful for God, my family, and our health, and those are things that I thank God for every single day, so this list is for all of the other little things that sometimes go overlooked…

– Technology!!  Mine all went haywire today, so to turn around my bitterness, I wanted to focus on all of the amazing benefits that technology brings instead of all of the frustrations it brings when it goes wrong.

– The ability to make future holiday plans with my mom, dad, brothers, sister-in-law, nephew, and niece… we didn’t get to do this activity last year because of Covid, and I’m so grateful we will be able to this year!

– The rekindling of old, close friendships and all of the amazing girl time that has come from that these last few months

– Flu shots to protect us and our babies all winter long

– Christmas decorations and twinkling lights

– Georgia football and the continued hope for an amazing season

– Sunday dinners at my parents’ house… I will never take Sunday dinners at my childhood home for granted ever again

– Christmas music!  It makes me so happy.

– Being able to watch our babies create… they made paper snowflakes tonight and it was the sweetest thing.

– The ability to run… and walk, for that matter.  I suffered from terrible nerve damage and years of pain after my first childbirth, and every single time I go for a run, it’s never lost on me that there was once a time that I thought I might never walk again, let alone be able to run… and pain-free (for the most part).

– All of the veterans who have served our country, including my late grandfather, my father-in-law, my uncle, my cousin, my great uncle, and so many friends

– Family movie nights and couch snuggles

– Covid-19 vaccines for the kids, science, and the medical community who is constantly working to develop new technology to keep all of us safe and healthy

– Pediatric acute care places that are open on Sundays to diagnose my girl with strep throat and provide us with medication so she can start her healing process

– A negative strep test result for Jacob and the all-clear for both kiddos to go back to school on Tuesday

– One-on-one time with my friend, Becky, while we shopped for the school fundraiser

– A heated blanket to keep me snuggly warm on this chilly morning

– Quality one-on-one time with B on our day date to do aaaallll the Christmas shopping!

– A nine-day Thanksgiving Break on the horizon with my faves!!!!

– Lots of time spent celebrating with old friends

– A cozy, wonderful Sunday dinner at Momma and Daddy’s

– Christmas puzzles and snuggly blankets!

– Golf and lunch out with my three favorites!

– Finding and bringing home the perfect Christmas tree!

– All of you readers!  I'm truly grateful for each and every one of you who come back day after day to love on my family and me.

Happy Thanksgiving, y’all!
