Happy Thursday, y’all! I’m popping in today for a rare Thursday post, although, not so rare for this time of year, I suppose, since I have too much content to post and not enough days!
A couple of months ago, I polled all of you on Instagram to ask what you wanted to see more of here on the blog, and while many of you gave me some great ideas, the overwhelming majority of you said that you wanted to see more from me on Instagram – more Reels, more everyday content, more days in the life, and just more fun stuff over there in general.
So, while I had absolutely ZERO intentions of stepping up my game over there, after seeing your responses, I have unexpectedly found myself doing the most over for the last few weeks after phoning it in for the last couple of years.
I had planned to focus on Instagram back in 2023, and I was off to a good start in late 2022 and early 2023, posting Reels of recipes, holiday décor, outfits, and so much more, and then vertigo hit me like a truck in July 2023 and I could barely look at my phone for months because of all the side effects from that.
After that, my posting on Instagram became sporadic and much of it consisted just of my old daily to do lists and stories directing y’all to my blog posts, and my static posts basically became non-existent unless I was documenting big events or family trips.
Well, I heard y’all loud and clear when I asked what you wanted to see more of, and I’m really going to try to be more active over there again – it’ll be a good mix of whimsy, productivity, and real life. And I’ve actually been enjoying myself because it’s forced me to pry open that creative corner of my brain that I’d stopped using for so long.
Obviously, since I’ve been putting so much time and effort into putting out quality content over there, I’d love it if you would follow along there, too! You can find me @lindsayssweetworld if you’re not already following. I figure, if I’m going to spend so much time and effort creating over there, then I might as well focus on growing there, too!
Content creation is my job, and the income I bring in helps support our family just like any other job would. So, to all of you who read my blog posts, purchase through my links (here and on Instagram), like and comment on my posts and Reels, and especially share and save my Reels – THANK YOU. Sharing my static posts and Reels is one of the most helpful things you can do because it helps get my content out there to others. It’s easy to get lost in the algorithm on social media and that can be really frustrating after spending so much time and effort on a post or a Reel. So please continue liking and sharing!
Anyway, now that all that’s out of the way, I thought I’d share a little bit of what I’m doing over there right now. SO many of you asked me to bring back the daily to do lists, and they went over so well in my stories (so many DMs!!) that I decided to start doing them seven days a week. To make them more interesting, I’ve started including them on a photo and music, and I loved them all so much this month that I decided to turn them into a Reel. I’ve also started including some fun, festive tasks on my lists, too, rather than just the mundane daily things.
I thought I’d share my month of to do lists here this time just for fun, but if you’d like to see them daily, be sure to follow along @lindsayssweetworld on Instagram.

Making to do lists cute has got to be the best way to get things done.
ReplyDeleteI agree!
DeleteI am loving you stepping up your game on IG, always inspiring me to do more!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteJust popped over to your IG reel and that is so fun with combining all your to-do lists for last month, I love it and what a great way to keep giving your stories life with a reel! This makes me want to spend more time over there, I miss when IG used to feel more fun and not algorithm obsessed!
ReplyDeleteI love your pink keyboard and mouse, by the way!
Hope you're having a wonderful Thursday so far, friend!
Make Life Marvelous
I agree. I checked out of Instagram a couple of years ago when all the influencers started getting too commercial. I'm loving that some people are starting to bring back the fun, everyday content instead of just constantly trying to sell something.
DeleteI have noticed you more on Instagram over the last week. You have been working hard, I love your posts and the lists are fab!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much, Kim! That really does mean a lot.
DeleteI have definitely noticed you showing up in my feed more, and I love following you on IG!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Tanya! I really appreciate that.
