Nail Polish Swap Reveal

*This post may contain affiliate links, which means at no additional cost to you, I will earn a commission if you click through or make a purchase.

I teamed up with a few sweet ladies to co-host a nail polish swap, and today is the big reveal!

I was partnered with Penny from Penny’s Passion and, y’all, she spoiled me rotten!  Just look at all of these thoughtful gifts!

Sally Hansen Insta-Dri is my favorite nail polish right now because it dries so quickly and it really holds up well.  I just don’t have time to sit around and wait for my nails to dry, so polish that dries quickly is always preferred.  I also love it because I can paint Olivia’s nails with it and they dry almost immediately so she doesn’t have to wait around either… we all know that four-year olds do not sit still for long periods of time.  ;o)  The colors Penny sent are just perfect, too.  The Flashy Fuchsia might be my new favorite color ever for my toes for summer!  The other shade is Expresso, and it is beautiful as well.

In addition to the polishes, Penny included a nail kit, a nail file, a buffing block, nail polish remover pads, nail polish strips (which I’ve never tried, but they look awesome!), and the cutest little dish.

Just look at that adorable dish that she personalized with my name!  It will be perfect for holding my rings by my bathroom sink.

It was all wrapped up in the prettiest box, too.  And I love all of the touches of pink!  It is my favorite color, after all.

Thank you so, so much, Penny!  You are too generous.

If you want to see what I sent Penny, go check out her post here.

Happy Tuesday, all!

Nail Polish Swap Announcement

Today was supposed to be the day that we all revealed our nail polish swap goodies, but a few ladies informed us that they hadn’t yet received their packages so we’re going to push the link-up out to next Thursday, May 17 to give everyone a chance to get prepared.

I actually have another link-up on May 17, so my reveal will be live Tuesday, May 15.

If you already have your post ready today, no worries… you can go ahead and link up here today and we'll use the same link-up next week as well!  And for everyone else, we’ll see you back here on May 17!

Sorry for the delay, ladies!

Mug Love Exchange + Starbucks Giveaway!

For the second year in a row I have teamed up with some of my favorite bloggers to participate in a blogger exchange, and this year I’m a co-host.

If there’s one thing that us bloggers have in common it’s that we all adore fall.  The scents, the crispness in the air, the coziness of it all.  And nothing makes things cozier than a cup of coffee and/or tea!  I typically drink a cup of tea every day, and then I treat myself to coffee occasionally during fall and winter.  When I saw the announcement for a mug exchange I couldn’t sign up fast enough.

Don’t coffee and fall go hand-in-hand perfectly?

This year I was paired with Danielle at A Sprinkle of Joy, and I could not have been happier.  I have been following along with her and her sweet family for a couple of years now so it was like being paired with a good friend.  She and I both agreed that we would love something fall-themed for the exchange because – surprise! – neither of us actually owned any fall-themed mugs.

Shocking, I know.

When my package arrived, I was giddy because who doesn’t love receiving stuff in the mail?!

When I unwrapped the mug I almost died.  Y’ALL.  THIS MUG!!!!  Is it not perfect for me?!  It’s currently gracing the top of my two-tiered stand as a piece of my fall décor because it’s just too cute not to display for all to see.  I will probably bring it to work soon as that’s where I do most of my tea drinking.

She also sent a sweet note and some crocheted covers for my other coffee mugs, one for regular mugs and one for travel mugs.  That curly Q on the pumpkin stem is seriously the cutest thing ever.  I think I love those just as much as the mug itself!

Thank you so much, Danielle!  I definitely hit the partner jackpot with you.  XO

If you would like to see what I got for Danielle, you can check it out on her blog.

And now for the fun part… we are giving away a $50 Starbucks gift card for one lucky winner.  You can enter via the Rafflecopter below.  Good luck!

What’s Up Wednesday - March 2017 + Girl Mom Box Swap

This month sped by, and it’s already that time for the March recap!

What We’re Eating This Week

Mon – Shay's Pizza Joe’s (leftovers from the freezer)
Tue – BBQ Chicken, Honey Glazed Carrots, and Black Eyed Peas
Wed – Chicken Parm and Broccolli
Thu – B is always at tennis, so either sandwiches or he’ll pick something up
Fri – Out for my birthday dinner with B’s dad!
Sat – Out again… we almost always go out to eat after church!
Sun – Dinner at Momma and Daddy’s

What I’m Reminiscing About

We’re getting ready to book our condo for our beach trip this summer, and it’s had me thinking about all of our past trips that were just so wonderful.  It’s one of our favorite things each year, and we are all dying to go back.  Jacob has been asking when we are going to the beach for the last eight months.  Lol.

(June 2016) - Day 1 / Day 2 / Day 3 / Day 4 / Days 5 & 6
(April 2015) - Days 1, 2, 3, & 4

What I’m Loving

Even though the time change has wreaked havoc on my sleep schedule these last couple of weeks, I am enjoying having the extra daylight in the evening.  Because of this extra daylight we have been able to resume our evening walks after dinner and it has been heavenly.  Also a great thing since I’ve been so busy during my lunch breaks and haven’t been able to make it to the gym much.  And don't ask me what both of the kids are looking at in this picture.  Lol.  I have no clue.

What We’ve Been Up To

March hasn’t been too terribly busy, so we’ve been hanging out at home a lot, working on a few projects.  I’ve been purging and reorganizing our kitchen as well as my master closet and it feels so good.  This past weekend we went to Atlanta for a little weekend getaway and we had a great time shopping, eating, and going to Lego Land.  You can see the recap here.

What I’m Dreading

Hmmmm, this is always a tough question because fortunately there’s not really ever very much to dread.  Maybe the extreme summer heat and humidity?  Or that B is going to be going out of town for a day in April and I’ll be doing the whole rearrange my work schedule so I can do the drop-off/pick-up both kids on my own?  I wouldn’t say that I’m dreading that, though, because he won’t be away at night.  I do dread when he’s gone overnight.

What I’m Working On

I’m getting ready to start decorating our house for Easter!  I’m behind this year.  I’m trying to decide if I’m going to change up the decorations or keep them the same as last year.

What I’m Excited About

My birthday month is April, so I’m going to make everyone celebrate me all month long!  Haha.

What I’m Watching/Reading

Watching – a whoooole lot of Gilmore Girls because most of our other shows are done for the season.  Anybody else already going through This is Us withdrawals?  That show is just so good and I’m sure going to miss it for the next 6 months.

Reading – I am so embarrassed to say that I am still reading Nicholas Sparks’ new book, Two by Two.  I started reading it just after Christmas and I’m still reading it.  I just haven’t been making as much time for reading lately.  I am about three quarters of the way through it, though, so I’m hoping to finish it soon.  Yes, Adrienne, your gift is next in line!  ;o)

What I’m Listening To

Can’t stop won’t stop listening to Ed Sheeran’s new album.  I honestly didn’t think that there was any way possible that I would love this album as much as his last album, but you guys, I love it even more.  It has definitely already made its way into my top ten favorite albums of all time… maybe even top five!  Gasp!  There is not one bad song on it.  Heck, there’s not even one mediocre song on it.  They are all fantastic!  B was able to get fourth row seats to his Nashville concert in October and I am dying.  I haven’t been this excited for a concert in a long time.

I’m also jamming to several other albums/songs… you can check them out on my spring playlist here!  There’s so much goodness here… makes me want to crank it up, kick up my feet out on the back porch, and sip on a Moscow Mule!

What I’m Wearing

I’m currently obsessed with off the shoulder tops.  I’ve worn three in the last couple of weeks and I have plans to wear another one on B’s and my date night next week.  We’re heading to see Chris Stapleton and I’m thrilled!  I think 2017 is going to be known as “The Year of Live Music” for B and me… we’ve already been to two, and we have tickets to three more this year and it’s only March!

Anyhoo, back to the topic at hand – what I’ve been wearing – if you’re in need of some off the shoulder tops, some of my very favorites are this one, this one, and this one.  Or you can just check out the whole post that I did on off the shoulder tops here.  And if you want to see every single outfit I’ve worn for the last year and a half click here.  :o)

What I’m Doing This Weekend

Friday evening we’ll be celebrating my birthday with B’s dad.  Then Saturday and Sunday we actually don’t have any big plans.  After our weekend in Atlanta last weekend, it will be nice to kick back and relax and get some things done around the house.

What I’m Looking Forward To Next Month

Lots of things!  My birthday, the Chris Stapleton concert, a field trip to the strawberry patch with Jacob, taking the kids to an air show, a mother/son dance with Jacob, the annual fundraiser for Jacob’s school (it’s usually a derby theme but this year they’re doing a Casino Night), possibly taking the kids to Disney on Ice if we can swing it amidst all of the other things, more dinners on the back porch, and lots more after dinner walks!  Can I get an amen!

What Else Is New

I participated in a Girl Box Mom Swap recently and it was so much fun!  I was paired with Lacey at Perks of Being a JAP and she and her daughter Sadie got Olivia so much great stuff... princess stickers, a princess mess-free coloring set (Momma likey), a Tangled purse, and some princess lip gloss.  The funniest part about it was that Olivia and I bought something for Sadie that was identical to one of the things that they bought for Olivia!!  Great minds think alike!  Wanna see what we bought for Sadie?  Head on over to Lacey's blog to see!

Happy Wednesday, everybody!

Holiday Ornament Exchange

When some blogging friends recently announced a holiday ornament exchange I couldn’t sign up fast enough!  I love this time of year and everything about it, and I love picking out gifts for people!  Unless, of course, they’re hard to buy for… then it’s just a pain.  Ahem, Brian.  Hehe.

Anyway, I was paired with Stephanie at Wife Mommy Me, and she sure did spoil me!  She sent me not one, but three ornaments, plus a few other festive goodies as well.  And so much thought was put into each ornament.  Every single one of the them made me smile.

My absolute favorite (and now one of my favorite ornaments on the entire tree) is the buffalo plaid “A” ornament.  A is for our family name, red and black are some of our favorite colors – helloooo, Georgia Bulldogs! – and buffalo plaid?  I’m dying.  Stephanie, this ornament could not have been more perfect.  It really couldn’t have been.

She also gave me a gold cross ornament, which is just beautiful.  My faith is very important to me, and I thought that it was very thoughtful of her to recognize that.  Plus, GOLD!  Anybody who has been reading my blog for any amount of time knows I love gold.  I mean, I did my entire home office in it along with pink, black, and white.

Finally, a football ornament!  How cute is this?!  We are diehard Georgia fans, and we adore college football, so this was just perfect.

Along with the ornaments, she also enclosed a packet of hot chocolate (which I already enjoyed at work yesterday morning), and a Vanilla Bean eos Lip Balm.

My favorite part of the whole package, though, was the sweet note that she sent along with everything.

Stephanie, you are just so thoughtful and I have really enjoyed getting to know you on this blogging journey.  I’m so thankful to have been paired with you and I hope to follow along with you for a long time to come!  <3

Mug Love Exchange

I’m still weekending as I’m off today for the Columbus Day holiday, but I wanted to pop in and share a little something fun that I participated in recently.  Beth over at Our Pretty Little Girls and Stephanie over at Wife Mommy Me hosted a blogger mug exchange a few weeks ago, and I couldn’t jump on board fast enough!  I was paired with Jessica at Life. Love. Reality. and, boy, did she spoil me!

When I opened my package, I saw a sweet little note, and not one, but two mugs!  She explained to me in her note that she couldn’t decide which one that she like better, so she just sent both.  There’s a travel mug that I can take on the go with me during these upcoming cold winter months, and there’s a regular one that I can use for all of my green tea and local honey drinking at work.  I can’t decide which one I like better either!  I do adore the “Love Your Self (ie)” one… it’s perfect for me since I take an OOTD picture every day!

In addition to the mugs, Jessica also sent two of her favorite teas since she knows that I am a tea drinker.  And Lipton Green Tea is actually already my go-to, but I had no idea that they made it with acai berries, too!  I think I may have a new favorite!  I haven’t tried the berry hibiscus yet, but you can bet I’ll be opening it this week!

Thank you so much for all of the goodies and for your generosity, Jessica.  I love it all so much!

And thank you, Stephanie, for hosting… this was so much fun!

If you want to see what I sent to Jessica, head on over to her blog now to check it out.

Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m going to go enjoy my day off!  I'll be back tomorrow with our weekend recap... it was a good one!

Favorite Things Blogger Exchange

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, I love this little blogging community so much!  I’ve met so many incredible ladies and it is such a pleasure following along with them and getting to know their families.

When I saw that Jessica from Secrets of a Stay at Home Mom and Sarah from Seeing All Sides were hosting a blogger exchange I jumped on board as quickly as I could!  The theme of the exchange was Favorite Things and we all set out to find one (or some) of our favorite things totaling $10 or less.

What I really wanted to send were Bath & Body Words three wick candles because they were on sale for 2 for $22, but I was a) not sure how to safely ship a large candle that is packaged in glass and b) worried that the candles might melt in transit depending on how they were transported and how hot it was during those days.  It has been hot here, y’all.

I decided that it was best to scrap that idea and I settled for several smaller items that are also my favorites instead:

O N E – Bath & Body Works Soap

This is the only hand soap that we ever use in our house!  I have it in the kitchen and all of the bathrooms, and I have numerous scents.  My very favorite scent for summer is Peach Bellini.  It just screams summer, and since I’m from Georgia where the peaches grow, I thought that it was quite fitting.

Each soap is normally $6.50 (crazytown), but they often have sales, and when they do, I load up.  Well, what do you know on the day that I went, they had a sale where you could get 4 for $20 or 6 for $24, so I, of course, went with the better deal and loaded up on six so I could keep four for our house.  That way, I only had to spend $4 each.

T W O – Cute Notebook

I’m a list person.  And when it comes to lists and organizers, only paper will do for this girl.  I don’t want to use my phone or my computer or any other kind of electronic device (except for static lists – i.e. packing lists, grocery lists, etc).  I have a trusty rusty Erin Condren Life Planner for my day to day calendar and to-do’s, and then I always have a good notebook to compliment the planner for times when there are other lists I need to make, i.e. project planning, party planning, etc.

My go-to place for pretty notebooks is Marshalls, and as always, they did not disappoint.  I got these beauties for just $3.99 apiece and who doesn't love gold foil?!

T H R E E – Festive Paper Straws

Finally, since I had a couple of dollars to spare, I chose some festive red, white, and blue paper straws, also from Marshalls… they put them out for every holiday!

I packaged all three things with a cute little notecard, and they were on their way to Jacie at The Fella Life and Mandie at Bad Brew Pack.  I hope you ladies enjoyed your gifts!

This exchange turned out to be such a fun way to meet some new ladies.  Before this, I had never come across Jacie or Mandie’s blogs, and I had also never come across Vanessa's blog… you can head over to her blog now to see what she sent to me… I have to say I was SO EXCITED because I had been shopping for one locally and everyone was sold out!  It was like she read my mind.

Jessica was the only lady who I was paired with that I already knew because we had already been following along with each other.  You can also head over to her blog to see what she sent to me… one of my favorite things, and two things that I’ve been dying to try!  These girls have great taste, that’s for sure!

Happy Friday Eve!  XO
