Happy Friday, y’all. This has felt like the longest week I’ve
had in a very long time. It’s been
absolutely exhausting mentally and physically (mostly because I’m still having
so much chronic pain) and I’m so grateful that the weekend is here, that we
have NOTHING going on tonight, and that our weekend is fairly low-key as well! Thank goodness!
Today, I’m sharing a few favorites from the week, as always, and a couple are so festive and fun because spooky month is right around the corner!
O N E – Ghost Icon
Glasses
I saw these in the store the other day and it took everything in my power not to put them in my shopping cart. These are soooo cuuuuteeee and I love them even more than the bats icon glasses that we’ve had for a couple of years. They’re excellent quality and the they’re much more affordable than the ones at Anthropologie or even the ones on Amazon. I love that you can purchase these individually, too, rather than in pairs.
T W O – Pet Food Bowl
Mat
Belle might just be the messiest drinker we’ve ever seen. Haha. She leaves a trail of water behind her after she drinks from her water bowl and most of it gushes out right as she starts to pull away from the bowl. Our hard wood floors have already sustained some minor damage from all the years that Maui ate and drank right there, so we decided to purchase this mat (we actually purchased this one first but didn't like it) to put under Bellie’s bowls to protect the floors.
I wish we would have purchased this years ago because it does exactly what it needs to do, and it also elevates that whole space! It’s made of silicone so it’s easy to wash (you can even throw it in the dishwasher) and it doesn’t slip on the floor at all. Most of the water that drips from Belle’s beard gets caught on the mat, and it has a small lip around the edge, so it doesn’t roll off onto the floor. It’s also made and sold by a small family owned business which is always a win in my book!
T H R E E – Halloween
Stanley
Stanley released a small line for Halloween, and I absolutely love this pink one with spiderwebs all over it! I’ve mentioned my love for my Stanley oodles of times here on the blog, and even though so many have moved on to Owala and other brands, I’m still loyal to Stanley. I use mine all day, every day and I take it everywhere with me. It keeps my water ice cold for hours, even when I leave it in the hot car in the middle of the summer. I don’t ever use ice in it either! I love that it has a sturdy handle, I love the straw, and I love that it fits in cup holders unlike so many of the other brands.
F O U R – Bedazzling Kit
This kit was very inexpensive, but it has given Olivia and her friends hours upon hours of fun and creativity. She and her friends have been bedazzling everything in sight, and even though she has bedazzled so many things, she still has thousands of those little jewels left to bedazzle many more things. I think I might have to join her and start bedazzling all my things, too!
This would be a great gift to give at birthday parties for all ages! And it would also make a fantastic holiday gift!
F I V E – Bug Bite Thing
I’ve mentioned this lifesaver on the blog before, too, and sadly, I’m mentioning it again because the mosquitoes just will not leave me alone this summer. I have been so incredibly grateful for this thing as I’ve been using it nearly every day since we got Belle. Now that I am taking her outside to potty so often, I’ve become a feast for all the mosquitoes, because unfortunately, they know how sweet I am. ;o)
This Bug Bite Thing is simply amazing because it removes the mosquito saliva that’s left under the skin in about two seconds flat. By removing the saliva, the body stops producing the reaction that causes you to itch and swell. It’s clinically proven and they have a 100% guarantee, and I will personally vouch for this because it works for me every. single. time. It literally provides instant relief from itching every time I use it.
