Five on Friday - February Goals

Today I’m recapping my January goals and listing my February goals.  As always, I’m using a Y for YES and N for NO to indicate whether or not I accomplished my goals.

January Goals

Relationships

Y  Go to dinner with girlfriends. – Made it to dinner with five of my girlfriends from high school, and we had the best time!

N  Go on a date with B (if we can swing this with Omicron). – Didn’t get to do this one thanks to Omicron.  We’ve temporarily ceased spending time indoors with our parents again during this wave since the kids are back at school and, therefore, are at risk of picking up Covid germs.  Therefore, we didn’t want to ask any of them to watch the kids while we went out.

Personal/Health/Wellness/Fitness/Beauty

Y  Meditate, quiet time, and affirmations every day.

Y  Drink 64 oz. most days. – I actually exceeded 64 oz. most days this month!

Y  Set up and start using new Apple Watch.

Y  Close all rings on my Apple Watch 22 days.

Y  Visit with my therapist.

Y  Schedule my next blood donation. – Going February 3, hopefully with my mom this time!

Y  Eat a veggie with lunch most days. – I did great with this!  I think there were only 3-4 days this month that I didn’t have a veggie with lunch, and one of the days was when we had to eat Chick-Fil-A for lunch because we were out of town.  I’ve started cooking double batches of broccoli, green beans, carrots, etc. for dinner so I can have leftover veggies to eat with lunch all week.

Y  Read 1 fiction book. – I read The Wish by Nicholas Sparks this month and it was really great.

Family/Fun

Y  Attend Jacob’s second quarter awards ceremony at school.

Y  Sign Jacob up for baseball.

Y  Research piano lessons for Jacob.

Y  Research voice lessons for Olivia.

Y  Attend the Home and School meeting at school.

Y  Buy some child-safe knives and teach the kids how to chop veggies. – These kids have been chopping everything for the last few weeks and they actually enjoy it!  So far, they’ve chopped zucchini, potatoes, broccoli, and sausage.

Y  Learn how to add music to a video and finish our One Second a Day video for 2021.

Y  Record a video every single day of the month and upload to my One Second a Day app.

Home/Organization/Planning

Y  Clean out master closet.

Y  Clean out the playroom.

Y  Clean out Jacob’s bedroom. – so the original plan for this was to buy new bookshelves from Ikea so we could organize all of his Lego sets once and for all.  However, Ikea is currently out of stock which left us no choice but to wait.  Since we had to wait on that, I went ahead and moved cleaning out my office to January’s goals and we’ll do Jacob’s room later when the shelves are back in stock.  I gave myself a yes for this since I swapped his room for my office.

Y  Clean out Olivia’s bedroom.

Y  Clean out a few more spots in the house. – Oh, did I ever!!  In addition to my master closet, the playroom, my office, and Olivia’s bedroom, I also cleaned out the front room, the living room, the wine rack, the guest bathroom, several areas of the master bedroom, most of the kitchen, the laundry room, and a few miscellaneous items as well.  I’m on a roll!

Y  Have couch moved from Mom and Dad’s house to ours.

Y  Sell our old red couch. – I didn’t think this was ever going to happen because Facebook Marketplace is AWFUL, but we finally found a normal human who ended up buying it.

Y  Get all paperwork organized for the new year.

Y  Start revamping the front sitting room. – Sure did!  I got some new artwork hung, and I’ve started moving some of the table decorations around to refresh the space.  There are still several other things I’d like to do, though.

Blog/Social Media

Y  Post 3-4 times most weeks.

Y  Recap goals for 2021.

Y  Set goals for 2022.

Y  Start sharing the house cleanout process in Instagram stories.

Have a sweet weekend and I do hope you get to swing that date night soon too! Hopefully all the omicron will start letting up and things will get better.
