What I Ordered from Amazon in March 2023

March Amazon orders were heavy yet again because of Easter basket shopping!  Here’s what we purchased from Amazon in March…

Button Down Tank

I am loving that fashion is trending towards more fitted tops again, y’all!  I have always loved a flowy top, too, but fitted tops have always had my heart.  I don’t have many fitted tops in my closet anymore, so I grabbed this tank to add to my collection, and I couldn’t love it more.  It’s a basic ribbed tank, but the buttons “dress it up” a bit and it really looks great with jeans and jean shorts.  I’ve always loved a basic tank with jeans or jean shorts – it’s such a classic look – and I’m sure I’ll be wearing this one out all summer.  I love this one so much that I included it in a couple of other colors on my birthday wish list.  Shoot, I’d wear a tank and jean shorts like this all summer long… it’s the perfect summer uniform!

Amazon Basics Tank Tops

And speaking of tank tops, I was also in need of some basic tanks as well.  I wear them alone, I wear them when I work out, and I use them for layering this time of year when the weather is wildly unpredictable.  Basic tanks like these have been a staple in my closet for 25 years, and I absolutely love these Amazon Basics ones.  They are softer than any other brand I’ve tried, they’re stretchy, the quality is excellent, they’re the perfect length, and they wash and dry well and hold up beautifully over time.  They’re also very affordable, and they come in a ton of colors and patterns.

Girls Pajamas

Olivia loves twinning with her stuffy, Sheepie, so I’m always on the lookout for sweet matching child and doll PJ sets.  I bought this pair as a contender to put in her Easter basket, and they are just darling.  Olivia loves sloths, so I think she is really going to love these.

Girls Pajamas, Option 2

I also purchased this set as a potential Easter basket contender just in case the sloth pajamas didn’t work out, but I think I’m going to return these and keep the sloths.  We do love this set, too, though… Olivia has this exact set in a different pattern and she has worn them nonstop since she got them for Christmas.  Decisions, decisions…

Boys Under Armour Athletic Polo

Jacob only wears athletic polo shirts now – he hates traditional cotton ones – and the brand he really loves is Under Armour.  Amazon always has the Under Armour polo shirts for the same price as the Under Armour website, but Amazon has free shipping on any amount unlike Under Armour, who requires a $100 minimum purchase to qualify for free shipping.  Needless to say, I get all of Jacob’s Under Armour polos from Amazon.  :o)  This one is going in his Easter basket!

Girls Gold Glitter Sandals

I bought this exact pair of gold glitter sandals for Olivia at the beginning of last spring, and they were her favorite pair of shoes last summer.  They are very well-made, they are comfortable, they go with everything, and the buckle isn’t real… it’s actually Velcro which we loooove, because they’re so easy to take on and off.  The pair I bought for her last summer is still in excellent condition despite the fact that she probably wore them a hundred times… the only reason we’re buying new ones is because she has outgrown the old ones.  If you’re looking for great quality shoes that are comfy and won’t break the bank, look no further!  These are excellent!

In Five Years by Rebecca Serle

I read this book from the library several years ago and I haven’t stopped thinking about it since then.  When someone asks for a good book recommendation, this one is always in my Top 3.  When I find a book that good, I like to purchase a copy of the hardcover version to keep for my library, so this one has been in my wish list for years.  I was alerted by Amazon that it went on super sale, and I was able to snag the hardcover version for just $11, so I couldn’t pass that up!

Recipe Card Binder Inserts

I recently organized all of my recipes in a binder, and part of that organization consisted of sliding recipe cards into plastic sleeves like these.  I was in need of some more of these, so I bought one more pack.

Taylor Swift Fearless (Taylor’s Version) CD

This is another purchase for Olivia’s Easter basket.  We bought a few other Taylor Swift CDs for her birthday, and she has been listening to them nonstop since then.  She wants to learn all of the lyrics to all of the Taylor Swift songs, so I bought her a copy of Fearless (Taylor’s Version) to put in her Easter basket.

Curious Minds Book

This book was a purchase for Jacob’s Easter basket.  He absolutely loves random facts and he can’t get enough of them.  He has several other books about random facts, so I grabbed another one for his collection.  This one has great reviews.

Hair Dryer

My hair dryer died about a month ago, so I purchased a new one at Target.  The new one stopped blowing hot air about two weeks after I purchased it, so I returned it, and I opted for this one instead.  I wasn’t a huge fan of the one I’d gotten from Target, so I actually wasn’t all that mad that it went bad.  I like this one much, much better.

Oral B Super Floss

How many different types of floss could one person need?  Well, when you have braces, apparently, you can’t have too many.  Haha.  I have already raved about the Platypus Flossers as well as the Dental Picks, but I also needed some traditional floss for a couple of the areas that the Platypus Flossers won’t get through just yet (because my teeth are still too crooked in a couple of spots).  This floss is awesome, y’all!  It’s just strands of regular floss, but the ends of each are stiff so they’re easy to weave between the brackets and your teeth.  They also have a spongey end that works really well to clean out all of the crap that gets stuck around the brackets.  I’ve been using these in conjunction with my Platypus flossers and my picks, and I love them all!  I swear, I think my teeth are the cleanest they’ve ever been in my whole life now that I have these braces.  I am obsessed with cleaning them now.  Haha.

CeraVe Daily Moisturizing Sunscreen

It was time for a refill, and Amazon always has this the cheapest!  I use this CeraVe Daily Moisturizing Sunscreen on my neck and chest (and sometimes on my face) every single day.  A couple of years ago, I realized that the skin on my neck and chest looked much older than any of my other skin, and it’s because it’s always exposed to the sun.  I started wearing this daily sunscreen on those areas to protect it from further damage, and I’m kicking myself for not realizing that earlier on in life.

CeraVe Moisturizing Cream

I use this cream on my face every night, and it was time for a refill.  I also recently switched from Bath and Body Works body cream to this for the rest of my body, and I cannot believe the difference that it has made.  My skin is more hydrated than it’s ever been and it’s softer and smoother, too.

Neutrogena Hydro Boost Hydrating Cleansing Gel

I’ve been using this cleanser to remove my makeup and wash my face at the end of the day for years now, and it was time for a refill.  I love this stuff because it removes makeup easily and completely, it doesn’t dry out my skin, and it smells amazing.

Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel

This is the moisturizer I use on my face every morning, and it was time for a refill.  Again, I’ve been using this for years, and I love it.  I use it instead of the CeraVe because it’s a bit lighter.  The CeraVe is great for nighttime, but it’s a bit too heavy for my skin during the day, and my face gets shiny faster if I use it.  This Neutrogena Water Gel is light, and it doesn’t cause my face to get shiny like heavier moisturizers do.

Opti-Free Contact Solution

As I’m typing this, I’m not sure if I’ve ever mentioned on here that I wear contact lenses.  But I do!  I’ve been wearing them since sixth grade.  This is my favorite contact solution, and it was time for a refill.  Amazon had it cheapest this time, so I scooped it up!

Convertible Tights

Olivia’s two pairs of tights that I bought back in August both bit the dust, so it was time for some new ones.  These are our favorites because they’re very well-made and they hold up for a long time.  She has to have the convertible ones since she flips back and forth from ballet to tap to jazz to lyrical to musical theatre, and these are our go-to!  Her other two pairs lasted for seven months, so that’s not too shabby at all!

Disco Ball Earrings

I already mentioned these in my Five on Friday post, but here they are again!  How fabulous are these disco ball earrings?!  These popped up in my recommended items on Amazon, and for $6.99 how could I not grab a pair?!  I have loved a disco ball since I was little, and when they started getting popular again a few years ago I was so excited because that meant lots of disco ball stuff for me to grab!  These earrings are made of actual tiny mirrors like a real disco ball despite what some of the reviews say, and I am utterly obsessed with them.  They’re also surprisingly lightweight… I was worried they’d be heavy since disco balls typically are, but these are just perfect.  Gonna be looking for any and every excuse to wear these festive things!

CD Alarm Clock

Olivia’s CD player bit the dust, so we had to find another one for her.  The one she had in her room was one that we got as a wedding gift, so it was about 15 years old, so we definitely got our money’s worth of that one.  Haha.  She has been listening to CDs nonstop, so we bought this one for her to replace the old one.  We couldn’t find one similar to the one she had other than this one, and unfortunately, it only came in this teal color, but Olivia actually loves this color.  It has a CD player, an alarm clock, and a radio, so it suits all of her needs!

And that’s it, y’all!  Whew!

Happy Tuesday!

  2. Great finds this month. YES to Cerave! I didn't know you wore contacts. That is so disappointing about the blow dryer, but glad you found a better one! Thanks for linking up with Prime Purchases!

  3. I have those exact same basic tanks on my list today! I'm going to have to check out those ribbed ones with the buttons. I had some like those several years ago and I loved them. I could definitely wear short (or capris) and a fitted tank all summer long and be perfectly happy.
