What I Ordered from Amazon in October 2022

Happy Halloween, y’all!  Today I’m sharing everything I bought from Amazon in the month of October.  As you may remember, Amazon held another Prime Day sale in October, so almost every single thing I purchased was over those two days while everything was on sale.  I’d hoped to do more Christmas shopping than I did, but unfortunately the sale fell during my worst two days with Covid, and I ended up spending my time (when I wasn’t sleeping) sharing deals with y’all instead of actually shopping them.  Here’s what I bought.

Faux Leather Skirt

Leather is trending for fall and winter, and I’ve been wanting some black leather shorts or a black leather skirt.  When this faux leather skirt went on super sale on Prime Day, I grabbed it in black.  Y’all, I LOVE THIS SKIRT.  The material is really nice… it’s very realistic and it’s not too plastic-y or shiny, and it’s soooo soft.  It’s mid-rise, so it hits at just the right spot on my waist, and the length is perfect, too.  It’s not too short, but it’s also not long like a pencil skirt that you’d wear to work.  You could easily wear this out somewhere fun or you could even dress it up for a classy look.  It zips up in the back so it’s easy to put on, and IT HAS POCKETS!  This skirt is such a winner, y’all, and I cannot recommend it enough if you’re wanting to jump on the (faux) leather train.  I would also say that it fits true-to-size.  The small is perfect on me and I’m 5’5”.  It comes in 12 different colors/variations including brown, dark red, and dark green.  As I said before, I got it on suuuuper sale on Amazon Prime day, but I would totally have paid full price for it!  As I'm linking this, it's on sale again!  It's not nearly as good of a bargain as I got on Prime Day, but it's currently 27% off.

Red Short Sleeve Shirt

This top was a last-minute (emergency) purchase late last week because I needed something red to wear to our Homecoming festivities at school.  I have a couple of thick red sweaters and several red tanks and summery tops, but we’re in that weird time of year where it’s hard to dress for the weather, so I wanted to find something that looked fall-ish/wintery, but something that wouldn’t make me die of a heat stroke since it was warm-ish Friday night.  This top was absolutely perfect, and it looks ahhhh-mazing with my new leather skirt.  Y’all will probably be seeing this outfit again when we go to the Georgia Tennessee game this weekend!  And it comes in 43 colors if you don't like red!!  Seriously, every single color of the rainbow, y'all!

Children’s Place Jean Jacket

Olivia has been asking for a new jean jacket since she finally outgrew the one that she wore for years.  I ordered this one on Amazon Prime Day because it was on sale for $15 and it has 4.8/5 stars and 12,000 reviews.  The jacket is excellent quality, the fit is great, and it’s so cute and stylish, but my only worry was that there is zero stretch.  Olivia ended up loving it and telling me she wanted to keep it, but I was skeptical because she doesn’t like anything that’s the slightest bit stiff or itchy or binding.  I ended up finding a Cat & Jacket jean jacket at Target that’s soooo soft and soooo stretchy, so we ended up keeping that one, and we’re sending this one back.  But if your child doesn’t mind traditional jean fabric, then this jacket from Amazon is perfect, and it’s a steal at just $14.98!

Gold Plated Star Necklace

This necklace was another Prime Day purchase, and it would make a great holiday gift.  It’s 14K gold plated and it’s beautiful in person.  It’s currently on sale for just $13.49 (although, I paid even less for it on Prime Day!), and you can also clip the coupon for an additional 10% off.  There are several different styles, too.

Phone/GoPro Tripod with Remote

I’ve finally started making Instagram Reels and I hope to do more in the future, so I’ve been needing a tripod for my phone.  (And don’t worry, I won’t be going overboard with them… I know a lot of you feel the same way that I do about Reels… I kind of wish they’d just go away.  Haha.)  I bought this tripod on Prime Day because it had everything I was looking for – it folds up very compact, it expands from 13 inches to 62 inches, the tripod head rotates 180 degrees so the phone can be used in portrait or landscape, and the phone holder swivels 360 degrees, so you can film from absolutely any angle.  It also includes a Bluetooth remote so you can shoot from anywhere in the room, and most importantly, it’s very easy to use!  I’ve been very impressed with it so far!  The best part is, it’s currently 50% off, so it’s only $18.39!!  That’s about what I paid for it on Prime Day.

Donut Squishmallow

This was another Prime Day purchase that we’re saving to give to Olivia for Christmas.  She has been begging for Squishmallows for months and she has zero, so we’re going to be excited to gift her with her very first one.  There are a gazillion different ones out there, but I thought this little donut was particularly cute.

Melissa & Doug Paint and Decorate Your Own Wand

My niece had a birthday last month, so this princess wand was a purchase for her.  She’s approaching the age where she’s starting to get interested in crafts, so I thought this was the perfect set.  It’s a fairly easy craft to do and then she can use it when she’s done decorating it!  You truly can’t go wrong with Melissa & Doug products either… we had many of them when our kiddos were little and they’re high quality, so they last forever.

Melissa & Doug Disney Princess Wooden Stamp Set

This stamp set was another gift for my niece for her birthday.  Again, Melissa & Doug’s products are all really great, and I’m sure she’ll get a lot of use out of this!

Melissa & Doug My First Daily Magnetic Calendar

Oh look, another Melissa & Doug product!  If this doesn’t prove to you how much we love them, then I don’t know what will!  Haha.  This calendar was on MAJOR MAJOR sale for Prime Day (I even shared the deal in my Instagram stories), so I grabbed it for my niece for Christmas.   It’s currently on sale again for just $16.99 and there’s a coupon you can clip to get an additional $4.17 off!  SUCH a steal!

Face Wrinkle Patches

These face wrinkle patches were an impulse buy on Prime Day.  I came across them while I was browsing, and I decided that I’d try some while they were on major sale.  I’ve been wanting to try the Frownies for years, and in the reviews for these generic ones, several people mentioned that they actually prefer these over the Frownies.  I haven’t tried them yet – we’ve been so busy they’ve just been sitting on my bathroom counter – but I’ll have to report back after I do.  They’re easy to use – you just apply them to your wrinkles, sleep in them, and then pull them off in the morning.  The pictures in the reviews are quite impressive, so I’m hoping I’ll get similar results.  I really only need them around my eyes and there are 160 in the pack, so they should last a good long while, too.

Dentastix

Maui gets one of these nightly as her treat, and we love that they also help reduce tartar on her teeth and freshen her breath.  She needed a refill, and we always get them on Amazon because they have the best price, by far!

Children’s Claritin Chewables

Poor Olivia got my bad outdoor allergies, and she seems to be having more issues in this fall than ever.  We’ve been giving her these Children’s Claritin Chewables daily and they seem to help her.  Per usual, Amazon has the best price on these, so we’ve been purchasing them here.

And that’s it, y’all!  Happy Monday!

  3. Ohh, those frown stickers have be intrigued!!! I'd love to know how they work for you. I have sort of stopped doing reels for the most part, they were just stressing me out too much. I'll do one if I have time! I did see two of your recipe reels and they looked so professional for your first ones!! That red shirt has the cutest sleeves and would be great for casual Christmas gatherings.

  5. Grace just told me they had all their squishmallows on clearance at Kroger. She bought several, so apparently they are popular with college girls too. ;)
