Five on Friday - September Goals

Today I’m recapping my August goals and listing my September goals.  As always, I’m using a Y for YES and N for NO to indicate whether or not I accomplished my goals.


 

August Goals

Relationships

N  Go on a date with Brian.

Y  Go to dinner/do something fun with my girls.

Y  Go to poker night with friends.

 

Personal/Health/Wellness/Fitness/Beauty

Y  Meditate, quiet time, and affirmations every day.

Y  Drink 64 oz. water most days. 

Y  Close all rings on my Apple Watch 15 days. – I closed them 22 times.

Y  Aim to average 7,000/steps per day. –  I averaged 8,195

Y  Visit with my therapist.

Y  Go to my six-month breast ultrasound follow-up.

Y  Go to my annual eye appointment.

Y  Go to another evaluation for this vertigo.  Sigh.

Y  Start physical therapy for this vertigo. 

Y  Go to my semi-annual checkup at the allergist.

Y  Try to do a few entries in The Bible Recap. –  I did seven.

Y  Read 1 book. – I read five.

 

Family/Fun

Y  Attend Meet the Teacher day at school.

Y  Kids start the new school year.

Y  Kids start music lessons again after a one-week hiatus.

Y  Attend the first Home and School Advisory Board meeting of the year.

Y  Olivia start dance classes.

Y  Attend both parent nights at the kids’ school.

Y  Take Olivia for her semi-annual thyroid checkup with the ENT doctor.

N  Attend the back-to-school social at the kids’ school. – We had sick kids.  Boooo.

Y  Attend the first Home and School open meeting of the year.

Y  Take Olivia to her annual well checkup.

Y  Take Jacob to his annual well checkup.

Y  Take the kids to see Barbie at the movie theater.

 

Home/Organization/Planning

Y  Register Olivia for dance.

Y  Print my holiday season checklist. 

N  Back up all pictures and videos on 2 hard drives and Amazon Photos. – I ran out of space on one of our external hard drives, so I had to pause my progress.

Y  Get bulletin board in command center ready for the new school year.

Y  Book hotel for potential girls trip to NYC!!  EEK!

Y  Put a new strand of lights on the tree in the living room.

N  Clean out closet under stairs.

N  Clean out kids’ bathroom.

Y  Wash car.

N  List fall/winter clothes on Poshmark.

N  Complete 1 task on Master To Do List.

 

Blog/Social Media

Y  Resume posting on the blog 4 times per week.

N  Share at least 1 Reel on Instagram.

Y  Continue filling in Ode to 2023 blog post as the year progresses.

N  Share 1 recipe.

N  Start working on getting ahead on blog posts again.

Now for the September goals… I’m still suffering from this dumb vertigo, so I’m still trying to take it easy.

September Goals

Relationships

Go on a date with Brian.

Go to dinner/do something fun with my girls.

Personal/Health/Wellness/Fitness/Beauty

Meditate, quiet time, and affirmations every day.

Drink 64 oz. water most days. 

Close all rings on my Apple Watch 18 days.  (Low because, vertigo)

Aim to average 7,000/steps per day.  (Low because, vertigo)

Visit with my therapist.

Continue doing physical therapy for vertigo.

Have an MRI of my brain and neck for vertigo.

Schedule an appointment with a cardiologist for vertigo.

Go to my annual skin checkup at the dermatologist.

Go to my orthodontist checkup.

Do 10 days of The Bible Recap.

Read 1 book.

 

Family/School/Fun

Attend the Home and School Advisory board meeting.

Meet with the fourth grade teachers to plan the upcoming year.

Watch Olivia read at school Mass.

Jacob start his new golf season.

Plan Grandparent’s Day at the kids’ school.

Host Grandparent’s Day.

Plan tailgate night at the kids’ school.

Attend tailgate night and the football game at the kids’ school.

Attend the alumni social and homecoming football game at the kids’ school.

Have our picture taken for the church pictorial.

Attend the Home and School open meeting.

Attend Olivia’s school field trip.

Watch tons of college football!

Get a pumpkin spice latte to welcome fall!

Bake pumpkin bread from scratch.

Visit the Halloween store.

Pick out Halloween costumes.

Buy a new external hard drive and finish backing up all pictures and videos.

Continue planning girls’ trip to NYC.
