y’all! Happy Monday! Today I’m sharing our Amazon purchases from April…
I had some birthday gift cards to spend, so several of them are frivolous
purchases, and I looooveeee them.
Pink
Confetti Star Icon Glasses
Yes, yes here they are again! I’ve talked about these nonstop since I received them because I love them so much! In case you missed my other posts about them, Anthro dropped some glasses very similar to these last year, and they sold out so quickly that I could never get my hands on any. I thought for sure somebody else would put out something similar shortly after and I searched for months and couldn’t find any… until a couple of weeks ago! I finally found these beauties on Amazon, and I couldn’t spend my birthday gift cards fast enough. These are GORGEOUS, and I’ll be using them forever and ever. I love them so much and the quality is excellent, so I’m hoping they’ll hold up over time.
Light Fixtures
I also used my birthday gift cards on two more of these light fixtures. We’re slowly changing out all of our old
lighting, and gah, I love these so much.
They completely elevated both spaces where Brian hung them and the Edison
bulbs that go in them are *chef’s kiss*!

Night
Lights
Nobody every goes downstairs in the middle of the night, but since the kids are getting older, I knew eventually they will be coming and going at different times than we are, so I purchased these to put in a couple of spots downstairs so it’s not pitch black in the house at night. These are elegant and I love that they cast light up and down the wall rather than straight out into the room.
Bible
Jacob is receiving his Confirmation in a couple of weeks, and I wanted to give him a really nice Bible that he can keep forever. As previously discussed here on the blog, I’m struggling to find a Catholic Bible that has all the features I’m looking for, and since I couldn’t find the perfect one, I went ahead and ordered this one. This Bible is beautiful and the cover and design was exactly what I was looking for. However, it doesn’t have ribbon markers to hold your place, and it also doesn’t have Jesus’s words in red, so it’s not exactly what I’m looking for.
The
Great Adventure Bible
I ended up grabbing this Bible as well, and now I have a decision to make. This Bible does have three ribbon markers and Jesus’s words in red, but I’m not a fan of the blue cover or the compass on the front. I’m thinking Jacob will like it, though, so I suppose that’s all that matters. I do love that this Bible is the companion Bible to Father Mike’s Bible in a Year Bible study, and that it has so many extra features inside. I just wish it came with a traditional brown or black cover (the non-notetaking feature Bible does, but I wanted the notetaking version) because if it did, I’d be adding this one to my wish list as well! I think I’ll be keeping this one and returning the other one, but time will tell.
Lymphatic
Face Contour Brush
In recent weeks, my face has been feeling extra puffy along with the rest of my body. I’m also still having issues with my face and jaw from my retainer. I’ve been reading up on lymphatic drainage for all of that, and I thought I’d give this brush a try for my face. It’s designed to sculpt and define facial features by triggering lymphatic vessels to drain and therefore improve edema. I haven’t tried it yet, but I’ll be sure to report back once I do! I just really wish I could get to the bottom of my swelling. Taking turmeric has worked wonders, but in recent weeks, my swelling and puffiness has come back and I’m not sure why.

Unseen Sunscreen
I have been wearing sunscreen daily on my neck and chest for several years, and I’ve always wanted to wear it on my face, but I’ve never been able to find any that doesn’t feel greasy and/or smell like sunscreen all day. I found this sunscreen recently, and it has the best reviews I’ve ever seen for a daily face sunscreen. It’s weightless, scentless, and supposedly it helps your makeup stay on even better, which is so much better than the kind I’ve used in the past that pretty much makes my makeup slide off. I haven’t tried this yet either, but I’ll be sure to report back about this one, too.

I’ve also had a bunch of random sunspots pop up on my arms recently as well, so I decided to add a daily sunscreen to my arms. I wanted something with a higher SPF (this one is 50 instead of my usual 30 that I wear on my neck and chest) and I also wanted something that’s light and invisible. This one has great reviews, so I’m going to give it a try!

Speed Cube
After mastering the 3x3 speed cube, Jacob wanted more of a challenge, so he ordered this 4x4 cube with his own money. He has pretty much already mastered this one, too, and it’s just mind blowing to me. He carries this thing everywhere.
Meat
Tenderizer
Our old meat tenderizer was on its last leg, so I ordered this one and I love it. It’s from a brand I trust, the quality is excellent, and it works great. I tenderize all our meat before I cook it, and it makes a huge difference in the texture, quality, and flavor.
Funny
Birthday Card
I needed a funny birthday card, and who doesn’t love the Golden Girls?! This one is perfect.
Electric
Toothbrushes
The dental hygienist recommended that both kids get electric toothbrushes to help with their brushing while they have braces, so we grabbed this white one for Jacob and the pink one for Olivia. Supposedly, they help remove plaque up to 700% better than traditional toothbrushes, so hopefully this will level up the kids’ brushing routine. They both LOVE these. I’m considering getting one for myself if they ever go on sale… I think it would be a good tool to have since I now have a permanent retainer on my bottom teeth.
Teacher
Appreciation Cards
We bought this set of cards for Teacher Appreciation Week, and the kids wrote a kind sentiment inside and stuffed them with Chick-Fil-A gift cards. The cards are perfect for teacher appreciation, and I love the foil details.
Strapless
Bra
Olivia needed a strapless bra that she can wear under all her costumes for her dance recital, and we loved this one because it comes with clear, adjustable straps that can be worn in different ways. Most importantly, it’s comfortable and Olivia loves it!
Gold

These were a last-minute Easter basket purchase for Olivia and they are so beautiful! She loves them! They are so elegant.
Smarty
Pants Vitamins
It was time for my refill of daily multi vitamins, and these are the ones that I’m taking right now!

Great purchases for so many categories! I really like the like fixtures too! I also ordered those nightlights last month and have some in my new place. I just said last night I need to slow down on my Amazon purchases, but have been ordering so much. Have a great Monday!

ReplyDeleteOk, I have been taking the turmeric you posted about and couldn't believe how much it helped with inflammation I didn't even know I had! Then 2 weeks ago, BAM 5 pounds literally overnight that I cannot find a reason for. My rings are SO tight and I just feel awful. I even went in for a complete blood work up and everything cam back normal (YAY!) but I just can't figure out this inflammation... :(
