What I Ordered from Amazon in April 2024

It was an average month for Amazon orders, and if I hadn’t received a lot of Amazon gift cards for my birthday, I would have barely purchased anything!

White Eyelet Skirt

Okay, if you’ve been following for any amount of time, then y’all know how obsessed I am with all of my flowy Amazon skirts.  I have them in three patterns/colors, and I wear them all spring, summer, and fall, so when I came across this white eyelet version, I couldn’t snatch it up fast enough.  This skirt is gorgeous.  It has an adjustable drawstring waistband, it’s fully lined, and it hits just a few inches above the knee.  It’s high-waisted so you can wear it with cropped tops if you so choose, and you can adjust how high or low you wear it.  The best part?  Since it’s white, it goes with everyyyything.  I could not love this skirt more.

Cropped Yellow Ruffle Tank

I bought this cropped ruffle tank in blue last summer, and it was one of my favorite purchases all year.  I love wearing yellow so much, but I hardly own anything yellow, so this was a nice option.  These tanks are thick and the fabric is great.  The ruffles hold their shape well in the washer, and the tank hits just above the belly button, so it pairs well with a good pair of high-waisted jeans… or that high-waisted white eyelet skirt above.  It comes in an array of colors, too.

Workout Shorts

I own several pairs of these workout shorts… they’re the absolute best.  They’re high-quality and they have a 4-inch inseam so they’re not too short and not too long.  They are made from athletic fabric that wicks away moisture, and they have built-in liners.  They also have a zipper pocket in the back to hold small items such as car/house keys.  They are the GOAT of workout shorts, in my opinion, and the ratings and reviews on Amazon seem to agree.

Brown Sandals

I’ve had a pair of sandals similar to these for about 15 years, and they are on their last leg.  I have had this pair of Amazon Basics sandals on my wish list for a while, so when I saw that they went on a lightning deal recently, I finally scooped them up.  Guess how much I paid for them, y’all?!  $6!!!!  I’m maximizing all of my gift card money, that’s for sure.  ;o)  They are comfy, the soles are a bit cushiony, and they are true-to-size.  Keepers for sure!

Greeting Card Organizer

This greeting card organizer was on my birthday wish list, and it didn’t get purchased, so I decided to use some of my gift card money to buy it for myself.  This thing is spacious – larger than I thought – so I will be able to store all of my greeting cards as well as all of my thank you cards that I use to send with my Poshmark shipments.  The bin is durable, heavy plastic, and it comes with 6 dividers that can be spaced to your liking.  I haven’t set mine up yet, but I’ll be sure to share as soon as I do!

Bug Bite Thing

I’ve mentioned this on the blog before, but it’s so amazing that it’s worth mentioning again.  This thing works for mosquito bites, ant bites, bee and wasp stings, chiggers, and various other insects.  All you have to do is place the nozzle over the bite and pull the lever.  The suction removes insect venom, saliva, and other irritants that are left in the skin after a bite.  Jacob and I are both magnets for mosquitoes, and I kid you not, if you use this tool right after you get bitten, the itching stops immediately.  It’s instant relief.

Jazz Shoes

Olivia has to have a pair of tan jazz shoes and black jazz shoes this year for her recital, so we had to buy her a second pair.  She already had a pair of tan shoes that are getting too small, so we’re going to spray those black since she’ll only need them for the recital, and she’ll power through even though they’re a little tight.  Then, I bought a new pair of tan ones in the larger size that she can wear in the recital, and then hopefully she can continue to use them through next dance season as well.  We LOVE these.  They're high quality and they're always fully stocked on every single size, including half sizes.

Card

One of my friends was baptized into the Catholic faith last month, so I purchased this card, along with a Catholic devotional, as a little gift for her for taking this next step in her faith!  The card is beautiful, and it’s blank inside, so you can use it for anything – a Baptism, Confirmation, First Communion, a wedding, a Christening, etc.  The gold foil on the cover makes it such a high-quality card!

Called by Name Devotional

This is the devotional that I purchased for her gift, and it’s wonderful.  It has one page for every single day of the year, and each day is divided into a Bible verse or passage, a daily reflection, a closing prayer, and a tangible action that you can take to make a positive difference in your day.  I LOVE the tangible action idea so much, and I think I’m going to purchase a copy of this one for myself for 2025.

File Folders

I have a keepsakes box for myself with a file for each year where I store special cards, and various other things that I’d like to keep, and I was in need of some new file folders for it.  I use pink (because – duh), so this was a refill.

Pink File Tabs

And while they used to provide tabs in the same color as the folders, they have now changed it to where every color of file folder just comes with clear tabs.  Well, since the rest of my file tabs are pink, naturally, I had to buy some pink tabs separately so everything would match.  Y’all know I am OCD (yes, clinically OCD… I have been diagnosed with it… I’m not making light of it… I have gotten DMs from people telling me I shouldn't use that term when I'm not actually OCD, but the thing is... I am actually OCD.  Just thought I'd put that out there to avoid any confusion and save someone a trip to their DMs.) so there was no way I was going to have half a box of pink tabs and half a box of clear tabs.  That’s the kind of stuff that bothers me the most.  I need uniformity.

Multi-Vitamins

I started taking these multi-vitamins about a month ago since my others were discontinued, and I really like these.  I started out with a small quantity to try, and since I love them so much, I bought the big bottle this time to save money.

Taylor Swift Fearless (Taylor’s Version) CD

This was a purchase for a birthday party gift for one of Olivia’s friends.

Black Fine Point Bible Pens

I already have some Bible pens and highlighters that I use for taking notes, but I grabbed these fine point pens to use for my doodles and illustrations.  They are wonderful!!  They write like fine-point Sharpies, but they miraculously don’t bleed through the thin Bible pages.

Taylor Swift Stickers

These were also purchased for Olivia’s friend for her birthday.  She asked for all of the Taylor Swift CDs and a bunch of Taylor Swift stickers.  Done and done.  Haha.  And the actual stickers are not blurred out.  Amazon has blurred this image since I purchased... for legal purposes, I'm sure.

Light Fixture

We have been working on revamping our laundry room for years (LOL) and I finally bought this light fixture to put in there.  I haven’t had time to take it out of the box yet, but I have high hopes that we can get it up soon!

Divine Direction: 7 Decisions That Will Change Your Life by Craig Groeschel

This book was recommended by a friend, and since I loved Craig Groeschel’s book Winning the War in Your Mind so much, I couldn’t grab this one fast enough.  I’m about halfway through and I’m loving this one so far.  Craig Groeschel is quickly becoming one of my favorite authors for self-development books.  He always offers a unique perspective, and his writing is clear, concise, and easy to understand.  Not to mention, all of his ideas just really make sense.  I’ve had so many lightbulb moments while reading his books.

Outdoor Pillows

I purchased these café blue outdoor pillows for our back porch as it was long overdue for a refresh.  These pillows are ah-mazing, y’all, and they come in every color and/or pattern you could ever want.  They are high-quality, beautiful, and the pillowcases are removeable so you can wash them.

Happy Monday, y’all!

  1. That skirt is so cute and definitely looks like your style! My mom just bought some shoes this weekend for $6 too; but not the same ones. I don't think I have ever found shoes for so little money!
